The third show in the 2019 season is the Broadway At Music Circus premiere of the award-winning musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone, starring writeractorcomedian Bruce Vilanch and featuring a cast of Broadway veterans. The show runs Tuesday, July 9 through Sunday, July 14 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento.

This past week, two-time Tony Award winner and Broadway's next Marian the Librarian, Sutton Foster, received an honorary doctorate of music from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and spoke at the school's commencement ceremony for the graduating class of 2019. Check out the full video below!

'The Drowsy Chaperone' by Brick by Brick Arts successfully captures the joyful feeling of escape and mixes with a fun, mad-cap story, rich with 1920's tropes and characters. Society for the Performing Arts presents the greatest family musical of all time, THE WIZARD OF OZ. THE WIZARD OF OZ touches down in Houston at Jones Hall for the Performing Arts from February 23-24 for four shows.

Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a not-so-bright hostess, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of madcap delight. DROWSY CHAPERONE is clever, albeit not a never-done-before mashup. It is a musical within a comedy complete with colorful characters, catchy music, and a cast of toe tapping extras. If you want to be entertained, this is for you. It is one hour and forty minutes of just plain fun!

The greatest family musical of all time, THE WIZARD OF OZ, is touching down across the country starting October 6 in Alma, Arkansas.

Olathe Civic Theatre Association continues its first production of the 2018-2019 season, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE, with music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison and book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar. This musical comedy runs for two more weekends, September 7 - 23, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. Julie Ewing returns after last season's VIOLET to direct this Tony Award-winner alongside Kevin Bogan as music director.
