SAVING PRIVATE RYAN To Screen At Jaffrey's Park Theatre

In honor of the Town of Jaffrey's 250th-anniversary celebration, the Jaffrey 250th Veterans Subcommittee will present in partnership with The Park Theatre, Saving Private Ryan. The film will screen this Saturday, June 17, at 7 pm. Veterans will have free admission. All other attendees are asked to make a $5.00 donation to The Park Theatre.

Laguna Playhouse and Lythgoe Family Panto have announced that OLIVIA SANABIA (Amazon's “Just Add Magic,” Disney's “Coop and Cami Ask the World”) will star as “Dorothy” and BARRY PEARL (“Grease”) will star as “The Wizard” in THE WONDERFUL WINTER OF OZ: A HOLIDAY PANTO, written by Kris Lythgoe, choreography by Mason Trueblood, musical direction by Andy Street and directed by Bonnie Lythgoe.

The Academy Invites 842 To Membership; 50% Are Women

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 842 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. The 2019 class is 50% women, 29% people of color, and represents 59 countries. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2019.
