Last evening, the Apollo Theater celebrated its 14th Annual Spring Gala, raising over $2 million for its year-round artistic and community programming initiatives.

zxZXAt the 73rd Annual Tony Awards, the talented cast of AIN'T TOO PROUD - THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE TEMPTATIONS performed a medley of songs from the show. Sergio Trujillo has been dazzling Broadway audiences with his fancy footwork for hit musicals like Memphis, Jersey Boys, On Your Feet! The Emilio and Gloria Estefan Musical and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. The Columbia-born choreographer's latest, Ain't Too Proud-The Life and Times of The Temptations is another crowd-and-critics pleaser and has been nominated for 12 Tony Awards, including a nod for Trujillo in the Best Choreography category.

The 14th annual Shubert Foundation/Music Theatre International Broadway Junior® Student Finale took place earlier today, May 14,  at Broadway's Imperial Theatre, hosted by James Harkness and Jawan M. Jackson, stars from Broadway's new hit, Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations.

Just last night, Manhattan Theatre Club presented its annual Spring Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's event honored Serino Coyne Founder and Chairman Nancy Coyne for being a tireless advocate for the arts and featured performances by the casts of many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including Ain't Too Proud, Be More Chill, Beetlejuice, The Cher Show, Choir Boy, Hadestown, King Kong, Pretty Woman, and Tootsie. 

Following sell-out seasons in Shanghai, New York, Edinburgh and at London's Trafalgar Studios, Wilton's Music Hall and Crazy Coqs, the Fringe First award winner Apphia Campbell brings her acclaimed play with music to The Vaults Theatre for three weeks only with a press night on Friday, 28 June at 7.45pm.

Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations will launch 'TODAY''s annual Broadway Week, when the Classic Five Temptations - Derrick Baskin, James Harkness, Jawan M. Jackson, Jeremy Pope, and Ephraim Sykes - perform numbers from the new Broadway musical.

At Broadway's Imperial Theatre, toes are tapping and hands are clapping as audiences hum along to the hits of The Temptations. The story of the legendary musical group is told in Ain't Too Proud, a brand new musical that follows their extraordinary journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Last night, Orange is the New Black's Danielle Brooks, Dascha Polanco, and Natasha Lyonne visited Ain't Too Proud on Broadway! In addition, Clive Davis was also in attendance! Following the show, the guests went backstage and took photos with the cast. BroadwayWorld was there to capture the moment, and you can check out the photos below!

Reviewing the cast album for Ain't Too Proud, the new bio-musical tracing the origins of the Motown vocal group the Temptations, is an unusually tricky task. How does one really review music that has been iconic in the pop lexicon for half a century? For the most part, the original cast recording is a mixture of straightforward covers, interspersed with bits of dialogue so that it doesn't appear just as a cover album. Thanks to a ridiculously talented cast, it pretty much succeeds.

'Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations' opened on March 21, at Broadway's Imperial Theatre. As per Broadway tradition, the Legacy Robe was awarded to the ensemble member with the most Broadway credits, in this case, E. Clayton Cornelious!
