11th Annual Neustadt JAAMM Festival Opens This October

11th Annual Neustadt JAAMM Festival, a celebration of Jewish arts, authors, movies and music, will be presented at Denver's Mizel Arts and Culture Center at the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center starting October 4th and running through November 18th, 2018. Tickets for the festival will go on sale September 4th online at www.jccdenver.org/jaamm and at the box office at 303-316-6360, located at the Mizel Arts and Culture Center at 350 S. Dahlia Street in Denver.??

The Inn at Little Washington's Alumni Chefs to Prepare a Feast at INNSTOCK Food & Music Festival

On September 2nd, The Inn at Little Washington will host INNSTOCK, a food & music festival and the second of three events in 2018 celebrating Patrick O'Connell's first 40 years as Chef and Proprietor of the Michelin-starred restaurant and iconic inn. Focusing on traditional Mexican flavors, cooking techniques and ingredients, the culinary event features a seven-course dinner, paired with beer and mezcal. Featured chefs in-clude Reyna Mendoza, an authority on traditional food from Oaxaca; Ricardo Muñoz Zurita, considered an authority on Mexican cuisine having authored an encyclopedia on the topic; David Cetina, renowned for Yucatecan food; Joel Ornelas, known for contemporary presentations of traditional dishes; and Pablo Salas, whose restaurant in To-luca has been named among the Top 50 Restaurants in Latin America. The chefs will team up with chefs Humberto May Tamay and Laura Avalos of Grand Velas' Mayan restaurant, Chaka. The Best of Mexico´s Culinary Traditions Rivi-era Maya at Grand Velas Riviera Maya is included for guests staying at the resort.

Specialty Food Association Summer Fancy Food Show Trends Emphasize Innovation Across the Industry

Over 200,000 products awaited the Specialty Food Association Trendspotter Panel at the 64th Annual Summer Fancy Food Show. Held June 30 to July 2 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, the show encompassed six football fields worth of specialty food and beverages. Members of the panel were armed with predictions from earlier in the year as they tasted their way through the show, confirming some current, and identifying new and emerging trends.
