The Atlanta Shakespeare Company has announced its 2022-23 season at The Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse.

Shakespeare’s infamous four-plot adventure is braided with precision by Laura Cole’s thoughtful and expertly timed hands. With festive, personality-invoking costumes, clever fight choreography, and astute music/sound design, the double, sometimes triple duty, cast is more than adept at switching in and out of characters. 

A fairy King and Queen come across four runaway lovers and a gaggle of amateur actors trying to rehearse a play in the forest. The magical royal couple meddles with their mortal lives, culminating in a comical cluster of confusion. But don’t worry, we’ll get to the Bottom of it.

The Weird Sisters Theatre Project has selected a brand-new team of female artists to continue producing theatre in Atlanta by women, for everyone. In the vein of the company's mission to foster and cultivate opportunities for women in the arts with a commitment to producing works by women for everyone, they are excited to bequeath their power and responsibilities to the next outstanding producing team. Applications were shared in late summer 2019 with the Atlanta arts community and two rounds of interviews were conducted this fall by a conglomerate of founding members and producers from the outgoing team.

There's something humorous brewing in Lawrenceville! David Lindsay-Abaire's laugh-out-loud comedy, Ripcord is set to round out Aurora Theatre's 2017-2018 season, May 10-June 3, 2018. Audiences will follow the territory battle between Abby and Marilyn, roommates at a senior living facility with clashing personalities, and the hilarity that ensues when the tumultuous pair pushes the envelope to win a seemingly harmless wager.

Lawrenceville's Aurora Theatre brings to life the much loved Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine in a musical sure to spook audiences with its silly and suspenseful story. After a successful run of daytime field trip performances with Aurora Theatre's Learning Library, the Aurora invites the public to share in the family-friendly mystery during a limited engagement October 19-22.

The Weird Sisters are passing the wand to the next batch of Atlanta's finest, up-and-coming female producers After 5 years of critical acclaim and sold-out shows, the original producers/founding members of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project are passing the wand to the next exciting, up-and-coming group of power-house female artists. The producing team that brought you such gems as Anton in Show Business, Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche, Emilie: La Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight, and last summer's world premiere comedy Hot Pink, or Ready to Blow, are stepping down from their roles as producers. In the vein of the company's mission to foster and cultivate opportunities for women in the arts with a commitment to producing works by women for everyone, they are excited to bequeath their power and responsibilities to the next outstanding producing team. The Founders (Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Megan Rose Houchins, and Tiffany Porter) will stay on as Board Members and avid supporters!
