The Weird Sisters Theatre Project Announces 2017 Season

By:

The Weird Sisters Theatre Project's brand new producing team launched their inaugural season today with an announcement of 2017 productions.

This season, written entirely by female playwrights, features a developmental workshop, a World Premiere comedy, and a collection of original short works.

Hot on the heels of their collaborative rea ding of The Taming, The Weird Sisters embark on a three production season. 2017 boasts a spring workshop production, The Pretty Girl Basket Toss, written and directed by Rebekah Suellau, a World Premier e comedy, Space Girl by Mora V. Harris, directed by Julie Skrzypek, and Dangerous Women, an immersive evening of short plays inspired by true crimes committed by women, in the tradition of Grand-Guignol.

The Weird Sisters will kick off the season with a spring fundraiser, reminiscent of former Weird Sisters galas (details to come). Productions will span from their spring teaser workshop and close the year with their Halloween extravaganza in late autumn.

About The Weird Sisters Theatre Project

The Weird Sisters Theatre Project was founded in 2012 by a coalition of Atlanta-based artists: Kelly Criss, Veronika Duerr, Jaclyn Hofmann, Megan-Rose Houchins and Tiffany Porter. In 2016 the company passed the torch to new producers Shelli Delgado, Kate Donadio, Rachel Frawely, Julie Skrzypek, and Rebekah Suellau, in the spirit of mentorship and our mission--to foster and cultivate opportunities for women in the theatrical arts. The Weird Sisters Theatre Project is committed to creating theatre by women, for everyone.
