Chuck Lorre, award winning television producer, writer and director whose television shows have consistently reflected the highest quality of production design, will receive the esteemed Cinematic Imagery Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE, Local 800) at the 24th Annual Art Directors Guild's Excellence in Production Design Awards. The 2020 ADG Awards will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and will honor the prestigious spectrum of Chuck's extraordinary award-winning work over the past 20 years. The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) has announced nominations for the 24th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos and animation features. Hot on the heels of their recent release, Wild As The Night, Portland-based roots-rock darlings Fruition have just announced another brand new collection of songs, Broken at the Break of Day. The new seven-song album, available January 17th, 2020, was recorded in between tour dates in Fruition drummer Tyler Thompson's newly constructed home studio, and like Fruition's past releases, this collection of songs won't fit into one box. Although it's a challenge to categorize, Broken at the Break of Day feels whole because of the band's dedication to honesty as well as harmony. Working as perfect companion pieces, both Wild as the Night and Broken at the Break of Day will be released together on 180g vinyl in January, giving listeners the option to hear the two newest Fruition releases as a collective body of work in this playlist-focused era. Syd Mead, the 'visual futurist' and concept artist known for his design contributions to science-fiction films such as Star-Trek: The Motion Picture, Aliens, and Blade Runner, has been named the recipient of the William Cameron Menzies Award from the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) at the 24th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards. SiriusXM announced today its extensive holiday music lineup featuring 15 commercial free channels including the much anticipated Holly and Holiday Traditions channels. Hallmark Channel Radio will kick off the holiday season Friday, October 25, and 12 more music channels will start broadcasting on Friday, November 1.

Thanks to strong performances and technically proficient staging, Marco Ramirez's THE ROYALE, while neither raging nor bullish, manages to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. The play runs through October 20th at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix.

Olney Theatre Center and 1st Stage's co-production of The Royale by Marco Ramirez and directed by Paige Hernandez begins its delayed run on Wednesday, October 2 at 1:45pm. The original first week of performances were cancelled when the actor had to withdraw for medical reasons just prior to the first scheduled performance.

Deadline reports that Jeff Meacham, who has recurred on 'black-ish' since season one, will be upped to series regular for the show's sixth season. Meacham plays Josh, Dre's (Anthony Anderson) nonsensical co-worker.

Arizona Theatre Company kicks off the 2019/2020 season, its 53rd, with Marco Ramirez' power-packed boxing drama, The Royale, a deeply theatrical and emotionally moving story loosely based on the life of the world's first African-American heavyweight boxing champion, Jack Johnson, Sept. 7-28 at the Temple of Music & Art in Tucson and Oct. 3-20 at the Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix.
