Transport Group has announced that the filmed performance of its world premiere musical Broadbend, Arkansas will be available for video streaming beginning Monday, July 20 for four weeks. An original cast recording will be released by Broadway Records later this month.

Broadway World's own Richard Ridge takes us to the opening night of the Broadway run of his landmark musical In the Heights, where Lin told Ridge, why the musical touches such a diverse audience of every age. 'Tonight, I feel a real sense of accomplishment. I think the immigrant and universal things that happen are, we do the jobs that no one else wants to do. Our parents sacrifice and they do things that they don't want to do, so we can do better than they did. I think everyone responds to that and it strikes a universal chord.'

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, actress Lynn Cohen who gained fame in 'Sex and the City' and 'The Hunger Games' died on February 14th. Cohen has appeared in over 120 movies as well as a string of Broadway and Off-Broadway plays and television appearances. She was 86. Screen and stage actor Lynn Cohen has passed away.

Transport Group announced today that Denise Dickens, formerly of Abingdon Theatre Company, will join the company as its new executive director, replacing Lori Fineman, outgoing executive director. Dickens will join founding Artistic Director Jack Cummings III at the helm of the off-Broadway, award-winning, non-profit theatre company.
