'Before This New Year,' a coming-of-age identity and right-of-first-passage love story by playwright Liana Sonenclar, will play a reading for industry on Monday, November 19th at 7 PM, at the Jerry Orbach Theater at the Theater Center at 210 West 50th Street, and will feature a notable cast. The play is helmed by director Kimberly Loren Eaton, who has been working on the development of the piece with Sonenclar the past several months through her creative development and production company Theatrum Mundi Productions.

The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will feature the epic adventure musical Loch Ness. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, and run from July 6th-8th and 10th-14th, with a preview on July 5th.

Robbie Florian's farce, The Cadaver Synod: A Pope Musical will debut at this year's New York Musical Festival, playing from July 17 - 23 at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row (410 W 42nd Street). The Cadaver Synod is directed by Ryan Emmons with musical direction by Dan Garmon and choreography by Gina Duci. Tickets are $27.75 and can be purchased by visiting NYMF.org.

The View UpStairs - the provocative new musical written by Max Vernon, directed by Scott Ebersold and choreographed by Al Blackstone - celebrated its 100th performance on Friday, May 19 at 8:00 PM. To celebrate this landmark, the show harnessed the power of community to benefit Point Foundation, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer students of merit. For the 100th performance, The View UpStairs will donated 30% of proceeds from all full-priced ticket sales to Point Foundation.

La Cage Aux Folles & In the Heights), Jay Armstrong Johnson (On the Town, Hands on a Hardbody) Ben Mayne (South Pacific tour), Doreen Montalvo (On Your Feet, In the Heights), MJ Rodriguez (Runaways, Rent), Tony Sheldon (Tony nom. Priscilla, Queen of the Desert), Jason Tam (If/Then, A Chorus Line), Clarke Thorell (The Front Page, Annie) and more are set to perform a concert version of Max Vernon's musical THE VIEW UPSTAIRS to raise money for the victims of the Pulse Orlando massacre. The Community NYC which was founded in 2014,  is producing their inaugural theatrical production, Gina Gionfriddo's award winning play BECKY SHAW. The production is directed by Elena Kritter (Producing Director for The Community NYC) who also serves as the Executive Producer. The cast of BECKY SHAW is comprised of graduates of The William Esper Studio. In addition to theatre, The Community NYC also produces short films and hosts events such as readings, cultural excursions and improv jams.
