The 24th season of the Adirondack Theatre Festival will feature the epic adventure musical Loch Ness. The show will open at the Charles R. Wood Theater, located at 207 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, and run from July 6th-8th and 10th-14th, with a preview on July 5th. Performances will start at 7:30pm and will include three matinees at 2pm on July 7th, 11th, and 14th. On the mysterious waters of the Scottish Highlands, a young girl discovers herself - and a legendary creature - in this epic new musical adventure. Equally hilarious and heartwarming, Loch Ness takes us on a magical journey about finding your way...where you least expect it.

Loch Ness features the same director and lighting designer as last year's Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat. Best described as "War Horse on Water," it will feature a large-scale Loch Ness monster puppet built by Acheson & Walsh, a specialty puppetry company in New York City. The show is presented by special arrangement with Victoria Lang, Mark Schwartz, Carl White and Gregory Rae.

Gabriella Pizzolo, a young actress form upstate New York, will be playing one of the leads. Pizzolo is an experienced actress at the age of 14, already boasting two Tony award winning Broadway musicals on her resume. She played the title character in the 2013 Broadway performance of Matilda, and played Small Alison in Fun Home. Pizzolo will play the role of Haley in Loch Ness.

Marshall Pailet is a director, writer and composer for musical theater, plays, animated films, and is the proud owner of a wildly untrained, but ultimately well-meaning terrier-mix. He directed, composed, and co-wrote the Off Broadway musicals Baghdaddy (currently playing, New York Times Critics' Pick) and the now internationally licensed Triassic Parq (Chance Theater '13; Ovation Award, Best Musical; Ovation Nom; Best Director). Other Theater: Claudio Quest (winner of six 2015 NYMF Awards for Excellence); Shrek the Halls (DreamWorks Theatricals); The Chocolate Tree (NAMT). Film: VeggieTales: Noah's Ark starring Wayne Brady (Original Songs). As Director Only: Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat (Adirondack Theater Festival); Wonderland (Atlantic Theater Company); Eudaemonia; Uncle Pirate; Stuck; The 49 Project; Thursday; With Kings in the Back; Bat Boy; Escape Artists; One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. He is also on faculty at Molly College, Cap 21, and the Broadway Dreams Foundation. Graduate Yale University.

A.D. Penedo is a lyricist/librettist, playwright and author living and working in New York City. His plays and musicals have been performed in New York and in theaters across the country. He also writes and publishes short stories and novellas, and is currently working on a trio of one-acts about middle-aged romance and a memoir. His works include Who's Your Baghdaddy? and The Chocolate Tree (w/ Marshall Pailet) and plays The Three Times She Knocked, Dance of the Fireflies, and Thursday.

Loch Ness stars Gabriella Pizzolo, Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Hairspray), Brandon Timmons (Young Frankenstein), Cathryn Wake (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812), Jillian Gottlieb (Unlock'd), Evan Alexander Smith (Dirty Dancing), Jon Michael Reese (The Book of Mormon), Zach Kononov (Avenue Q), Laura Hall (Pippin), and James Stafford (Wonderland). Designers include Paul Tate DePoo III (Scenic), Loren Shaw (Costume), Jake DeGroot (Lighting), and Jon Fredette (Sound), with choreography by Misha Shields and orchestration by Ryan O'Connell. Madeline Smith is the Music Director, Jenny Ainsworth is the Stage Manager, and Rebekah Sinewe is the Assistant Stage Manager.

"Loch Ness is certainly unlike anything ATF has done before. A larger-than-life, Disney-style musical that plays to adults but is great for the whole family. I can't wait to see that giant Loch Ness monster on our stage! This might just end up being the biggest show we've ever produced." - Chad Rabinovitz
