The Little OPERA Theatre Of NY Presents PAST AND PRESENT: SCENES FROM AMERICAN OPERAS

The little OPERA theatre of ny will present a FREE concert of scenes from American operas in collaboration with Bronx Opera and operamission. The concert will showcase the diversity of music and stories written for the opera stage by both native born and immigrant composers and librettists. The concert will take place outdoors on Governors Island in Nolan Park, in front of building 25. The performance is at 5pm and is FREE to the public. (Rain date: Sunday, June 23 at 4pm.)

On Stage At The Halloran Centre 19-20 Season Announced

Today, the Orpheum Theatre Group announced the lineup for the 2019-2020 On Stage at the Halloran Centre series. In addition to the 12-part Music Series and 3-part Theatre Series, the On Stage season will introduce two new series - the Songwriters Series and The Orchestra Unplugged symphony series. Tickets for all events are on sale now.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra announces the 2019 NJSO Edward T. Cone Composition Institute composers and their winning works. The composers include Dan Caputo (USC) with his work Liminal, Patrick O'Malley (USC) with his work Rest and Restless, Iv n Enrique Rodr guez (Juilliard) with his work A Metaphor for Power and Bora Yoon (Princeton) with her work The Encyclopedia of Winds.

Seeta Patel Comes To The Place

Award-winning choreographer and performer SEETA PATEL has re-imagined the iconic ballet, The Rite of Spring in the powerful classical Indian dance style, Bharatanatyam. With a cast of six outstanding performers, the show comes to the Place in London for two nights - May 17th and 18th - as part of a UK tour.

Orchestre Surreal Comes to Kansas City's Warwick Theatre in May

Minnesota Orchestra Announces 2019-20 Season Programming

Music Director Osmo V nsk and the Grammy Award-winning Minnesota Orchestra today unveiled plans for the ensemble's 2019-20 season, which runs from September 2019 to June 2020, and includes Classical, Holiday, Live at Orchestra Hall, Chamber Music, Music and Mindfulness, Young People's Concerts, and Sensory-Friendly and Relaxed Family Concerts.

Pennsylvania Ballet To Conclude The 2018-2019 Season With Two Spring Programs

This spring Pennsylvania Ballet will celebrate one of the 20th century's most famous composers, Igor Stravinsky, in an All Stravinsky program April 4-7 at the Merriam Theater. The season will then wrap with an exciting line-up of Christopher Wheeldon's DGV: Danse a Grande Vitesse, a world premiere by Jorma Elo, and company premiere Jerome Robbins' Glass Pieces May 9 - 12 at the Academy of Music.
