Broadway Rewind: XANADU Cast Hits the Recording Studio in 2007!

This episode of Broadway Rewind takes Richard Ridge to the opening night of the off- Broadway musical Frankenstein, which starred Hunter Foster, Steve Blanchard and Christiane Noll. We also drop by the CD recording of the hit musical Xanadu, where Cheyenne Jackson told Ridge, 'Xanadu lifts you up. It's 90 minutes but you are onstage the entire time. I'm loving it.'

Stars in The House continues today (2pm) as James and Seth announce the nominations for the 65th annual Drama Desk Awards, plus a Urinetown Original Broadway Company reunion (Hunter Foster, Spencer Kayden, Jeff McCarthy, Nancy Opel and Jennifer Laura Thompson); and tonight (8pm) with One Day at a Time Cast members (Rita Moreno, Isabella Gomez, Todd Grinnell, Justina Machado, Marcel Ruiz and Stephen Tobolowsky. Joined by executive producers: Norman Lear, Brent Miller, Mike Royce and Gloria Calderón Kellett).

Redhouse Arts Center Postpones Remaining Season Shows

Nothing is more important to Redhouse than the health and safety of our community. In response to the extended restrictions on social distancing and public gatherings in New York State and across the county, Redhouse has made some carefully considered decisions regarding our final three shows in the 2019/20 season.

The Actors Fund, the national human services organization for everyone in performing arts and entertainment, announced today that SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky and his husband, producer James Wesley, will produce a daily mini-online show, entitled Stars in The House, featuring stars of stage and screen singing and performing live (from home!) on social media to promote support for The Fund's services for those most vulnerable to the effects of Coronavirus (COVID-19).  

TOMMY, BIG, THE MOUNTAINTOP and More Announced for Redhouse Arts Center 2020-21 Season

Artistic Director, Hunter Foster has announced Redhouse Arts Center's 2020-21 Main Stage Season featuring several Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning productions that are sure to delight audiences of all ages. With every production this season, Redhouse will utilize its versatile theatre space to treat audiences to a thrilling theatre experience. 'We found our audiences really loved the intimacy of our productions, as they did with our musical, Rent', stated Foster. 'Having the actors so close to the audience really elevated the story's emotional level. No other theatre in Central New York gives such an immersive experience to an audience the way Redhouse can, and we want to continue experimenting with our spaces for the 20/21 season', he concluded. Building on this year's success, Redhouse will offer five Main Stage shows with some productions offering an extended three week run.

Meadow Brook Theatre Announces 55th Season

The season opens with Clue based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin, with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price. Based on the Paramount Pictures Motion Picture and the Hasbro board game, this show will be running October 7 - November 1, 2020. Join the iconic oddballs known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock, and Mustard as they race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up. Featuring original music by Michael Holland, Clue is a madcap comedy that will keep you guessing until the final twist.
