Ahead of the start of the 38th Season, Theatre Aspen announced today that after a successful first flight, the organization will present its second annual one-person show festival, Solo Flights, as the third act of this year’s summer season, August 25 – 31, 2021 at the Hurst Theatre in Aspen, Colorado.

Cluedo, a new stage play based on the classic Hasbro detective board game loved by generations and the hit 1985 Paramount film CLUE, is to tour the UK between January and July 2022. The play is written by Sandy Rustin with additional materials by Hunter Foster and Eric Price and for the UK production, Mark Bell.

The long intermission is almost over and LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT have announced their 44th season of shows, and will welcome subscribers and audiences back for another exciting, joy-filled season of Broadway smash hits, concerts, comedy and much, much more!

After the previous season was cut short, the company is glad to pick back up and reopen its doors with a world premiere of a new musical!

The 2021 Theatre Aspen summer season lineup has been announced. The 38th season, running from June 30 – August 31, will include two musicals, Chicago and Rock of Ages, the return of the organization’s developmental one-person show festival, Solo Flights, and multiple special events, as well as three Theatre Aspen Education productions.

BroadwayWorld has learned details of Paper Mill's upcoming 2021-2022 season. Productions set include Jason Robert Brown's SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD, a production titled 'A Jolly Holiday' in partnership with Disney on Broadway, CLUE - the 1997 off-Broadway Peter DePietro musical based on the popular Hasbro board game, the long awaited THE WANDERER based on the life and music of Dion, and the Broadway smash-hit SISTER ACT.

On this day in 1994, Grease was the word on Broadway as the show's first revival celebrated its opening night at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. 

Thirteen schools have been invited to perform on the main stage at the nation’s leading high school theatre festival. The International Thespian Festival takes place June 22-25, 2021, in its all-virtual format. Produced by the Educational Theatre Association, the festival celebrates student achievement in the performing arts.

Dress Circle Publishing has announced the release of THE UNTOLD STORIES OF BROADWAY, VOLUME 4, the latest in a series by historian and producer Jennifer Ashley Tepper. The book will be available on Tuesday, March 9 to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the 2020-2021 Broadway shutdown.

Redhouse Arts Center has named Actor and Director Temar Underwood as its Associate Director of Artistic  Programming. This interim position will allow Redhouse to be able to continue virtual theater programming until such time as it can welcome back live audiences and launch a full Main Stage season again.
