LIVE AT THE LORTEL Podcast Announces December Guests

The Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation has announced the next group of guests confirmed for their popular “Live at the Lortel” podcast focused on Off-Broadway. Each taping lasts about 60 minutes – with 45 minutes of moderated conversation with host Eric Ostrow and 15 minutes for audience questions. The next round of tapings will all take place on Monday, December 2, at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. As always, tickets are free to the public and can be reserved by visiting www.liveatthelortel.com.

Two River Theater (Artistic Director John Dias, Managing Director Michael Hurst) presents Love in Hate Nation, a world-premiere musical written (book, music and lyrics) by Joe Iconis, directed by John Simpkins. Love in Hate Nation has music direction and vocal arrangements by Annastasia Victory, music supervision and orchestrations by Charlie Rosen, and choreography by Mayte Natalio. THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE Starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield Begins Production

 Fox Searchlight Pictures announced today that principal photography on THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE is underway in Charlotte, North Carolina. The film is written by Abe Sylvia (Dead to Me, DIRTY GIRL) and directed by Michael Showalter (THE BIG SICK; HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS), and stars Jessica Chastain (MOLLY'S GAME, ZERO DARK THIRTY) and Andrew Garfield (HACKSAW RIDGE, SILENCE). The film is based on Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato's acclaimed 2000 documentary of the same name chronicling the dynamic ascent and subsequent demise and redemption of televangelists Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker as described by Tammy Faye herself.

Lyric Opera of Chicago Will Undergo a Transformation

As the architecturally significant and majestic home of Lyric Opera of Chicago marks its 90th anniversary this week, Lyric's president, general director & CEO, Anthony Freud, announced that the company plans to undertake one of the most ambitious improvement projects in its history. Over the summer of 2020, Lyric's Ardis Krainik Theatre will undergo a significant renovation and improvement project that will include replacement of all of the theater's seats, a restructuring of the sightlines on the main floor of the house, and greatly enhanced accessibility and overall guest experience.
