The No Name Pops will have their debut performance at the Kimmel Cultural Campus at the end of this month when they present Let's Groove Tonight: Motown and The Philly Sound. The performances will take place on October 28 at 3 and 8pm in Verizon Hall.

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) announced its 2017/18 season to a packed house in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre earlier this evening. The Orchestra's third annual, free Season Preview Concert once again featured the entire orchestra onstage performing selected excerpts, with emcee Music Director Ward Stare joined for the first time by Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik. The two co-hosted the informal and lively evening from a living room-type setting on stage, and took turns conducting highlights from the upcoming Philharmonics and Pops Series.

East 4th Street Citi Bike Station Activated with Art by Herb Smith

Herb Smith's 'From a Different Perspective' is activating the E 4th Street Cultural District's Citi Bike Station as the most recent artwork of the Asphalt Art Activation program produced by DOT Bike Share Program. The piece was supported by Fourth Arts Block (FABnyc), and curated by FABnyc Public Art Director, Keith Schweitzer. Laying a colorful foundation for the Citi Bike Station, Smith's piece is sited in the heart of the Cultural District, at the corner of East 4th Street and Second Avenue, encouraging a multi-perspective look at the block by blending street imagery with geographic identity.
