James Ijames and Lloyd Suh to be Honored With 2022 Steinberg Playwright Awards

The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust has announced the names of the two outstanding early-to-mid-career playwrights who will be celebrated with 2022 Steinberg Playwright Awards in the amount of $100,000 each. This year’s recipients of the “Mimi” Awards are James Ijames and Lloyd Suh.

MUSE/IQUE will conclude its adventurous yearlong concert series, L.A. Composed: A Festival of Los Angeles Music. Each concert of L.A. Composed focusses on a different street and the music that is associated with it. Sunset on Sunset, a musical journey into the center of L.A.'s soul, will be performed Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13 at 7:30pm at historic Union Station.
Cal Perfs Explores HUMAN & MACHINE in 2022-23 'Illuminations' Series

Now in its third season, Cal Performances at UC Berkeley's “Illuminations” series presents “Human and Machine”: six mainstage performances addressing the complex and changing relationship between technology and creative expression. The series' centerpiece is the eagerly anticipated U.S. premiere of William Kentridge's hit multi-disciplinary theatrical production SIBYL, which offers a meditation on the ultimately unknowable nature of the future (March 17–19).
