Page 73 and Working Theater have announced the cast of Bleu Beckford-Burrell’s La Race (November 21–December 23 at the McGinn/Cazale Theater at WP Theater.

On November 2, 2022, The New York Landmarks Conservancy will host its 29th Living Landmarks Celebration at The Plaza.  This year's honorees are Rev. Dr. Calvin Butts III, Andreas C. Dracopoulos, Marlene Hess, Earl Monroe, Charlotte Moore and Ciarán O'Reilly, Faith Ringgold, and Oscar Tang. 

The Town Hall will present a special evening with Hollywood icon Steve Martin and artist Harry Bliss, as they reflect on their new book Number One Is Walking. The live evening will take place on November 15 at 8pm at The Town Hall. Audience members will receive a signed copy of the book, courtesy of Strand Bookstore.

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that a private reading was held last week for the Broadway-aimed musical Working Girl. The reading was presented Friday at Pearl Studios, and was presented by Cyndi Lauper, Theresa Rebeck and Christopher Ashley for producers Robyn Goodman, Josh Fiedler and Kumiko Yoshii.

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE has released production photos from the California premiere of the hilarious KIM’S CONVENIENCE, written by Ins Choi and directed by Jon Lawrence Rivera. KIM’S CONVENIENCE begins previews on Wednesday, September 21; will open on Sunday, September 25 at 5:30pm and perform through Sunday, October 9, 2022 at the Laguna Playhouse.

Award-winning Broadway playwright Theresa Rebeck will write the book for the Broadway-aimed Working Girl. While she's had more plays produced on Broadway than any female playwright of our time, Working Girl would mark Rebeck's Broadway debut as a book writer for a musical.

Playhouse has raised over $25,000 to donate to Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen. The Playhouse started collecting the donations following the performances of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, “What A Fool Believes - Tribute to The Doobie Brothers” and its most recent production of A Chorus Line.

Starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford, 1923 will account for the end of World War 1 (1918) and the start of Prohibition (1920) both of which will be woven into the story. Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, The original series will debut on the service in December.

Pacific Symphony became a part of Star Wars history when they participated in the Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase panel at Star Wars Celebration, Thursday, May 26 in Anaheim. Under the baton of five-time Academy Award-winning composer John Williams, the orchestra performed the live premiere of the new theme from the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

Paramount+ announced today that Academy Award winner Helen Mirren and Academy Award nominee Harrison Ford will star in the highly anticipated next installment of the “Yellowstone” origin story, previously announced as 1932. Cindy Williams will take the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater stage at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in her one-woman show, Me, Myself & Shirley for a limited two-show engagement April 16, 2022.
