The Straz Center has announced the full upcoming lineup for its 2022-23 Broadway season. The season will kick off in November with the National Tour of Six. Following that will be Hadestown, Hamilton, Tina, Chicago, Wicked, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ain't Too Proud, and Jagged Little Pill.

The Majestic Theatre has announced its lineup of Broadway shows for the 2022-2023 season. Disney’s Aladdin, Hadestown, Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird, Ain’t Too Proud - The Life & Times of the Temptations and Pretty Woman: The Musical will all be included in the upcoming subscription season.

Tickets for the history-making production of To Kill a Mockingbird will go on sale Friday, February 18 for the premiere Salt Lake City engagement at the Eccles Theater, September 6-11, 2022.

As BroadwayWorld first reported in 2019, a legal battle between the Harper Lee Estate and Dramatic Publishing has been ongoing since the arrival of Aaron Sorkin's Broadway adaptation of the play.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that To Kill a Mockingbird, written by Aaron Sorkin with direction by Bartlett Sher, will close this Sunday, January 16, following 45 previews and 626 regular performances. But, the show will then move to the Belasco Theatre.

Today, January 16, Broadway says goodbye to four beloved productions. Flying Over Sunset will conclude its run at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre following 28 previews and 35 regular performances; Clyde's wraps up at the Hayes Theatre following 24 previews and 61 regular performances; Ain't Too Proud finishes it's almost three-year run at the Imperial Theatre after 21 previews and 488 regular performances; and To Kill A Mockingbird pauses performances at the Shubert Theatre following 45 previews and 626 regular performances.

Joining the previously announced Rafe Spall (Atticus Finch) are Harry Attwell (Mr Cunningham/Boo Radley), Amanda Boxer (Mrs Henry Dubose), Poppy Lee Friar (Mayella Ewell), John Hastings (Bailiff), Simon Hepworth (Mr Roscoe/Dr Reynolds), Laura Howard (Miss Stephanie/Dill's Mother), and more.

Additional casting has been announced for the West End production of Aaron Sorkin's acclaimed stage adaptation of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird.

Last night, To Kill a Mockingbird welcomed Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Greg Kinnear as he made his Broadway debut as “Atticus Finch.” Written by Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin with direction by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, To Kill a Mockingbird also stars Baize Buzan as “Scout Finch.”

Original cast member Baize Buzan will return to To Kill a Mockingbird opposite Greg Kinnear.

The Sunday, December 26 matinee has been cancelled as well due to breakthrough COVID-19 cases.

The evening performance on Saturday, December 25 of Broadway’s To Kill a Mockingbird has been cancelled due to breakthrough COVID-19 cases. All tickets for the cancelled show will be refunded at the point of purchase.
