Actor and comedian Justin Long will join the cast of the New York premiere of Mara Nelson-Greenberg's DO YOU FEEL ANGER?, directed by Margot Bordelon. Performances will begin at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) on Wednesday, March 13 with opening night set for Sunday, March 31.

Playwrights Horizons today announces a one-week extension to the world premiere run of PEN USA Literary Award for Drama-winning playwright Larissa FastHorse's The Thanksgiving Play, directed by Tony Award nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God, Present Laughter, Bernhardt/Hamlet).

Playwrights Horizons continues its 2018-2019 season with the world premiere of Larissa Fasthorse's The Thanksgiving Play, which officially opened last night in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater at Playwrights Horizons (416 West 42nd Street). Let's see what the critics are saying...

"There are many factors, grant and school board requirements that we need to fulfill with this piece," the director explains to the cast on the first day of rehearsal of a Thanksgiving play for children.

Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) presents Indigenous Voices: A Reading Series, organized by 2018-2019 Guest Curator, artist and choreographer Emily Johnson (November 1 & 6). Each season, Playwrights Horizons brings on a member of the larger New York arts community as a Guest Curator to work with the Playwrights staff. Playwrights Horizons will, from today, October 1, through Thursday, October 4, accept entries for the Live for Five online lottery, giving out $5 tickets to the world premiere production of Larissa FastHorse's The Thanksgiving Play. Directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God and Present Laughter on Broadway), this side-splitting comedy satirizing the performance of contemporary white liberalism begins October 12 and runs through November 25.

Jessie can't find any Mom Friends in her new Long Island neighborhood until she and larger-than-life Lina start sneaking out for coffee between their duplexes during nap times. When a wealthy neighbor comes down from the hill overlooking their hangout, the sleep-deprived comedy of new parenthood shows a different side of itself. CRY IT OUT is an honestly absurd look at the dilemma of returning to work after childbirth and how class impacts parenthood and friendship.

The production marks the directorial debut of Andre Holland (Academy Award-winner Moonlight, Jitney on Broadway). This limited Off-Broadway engagement runs through April 21 at The Wild Project.
