It's the greatest news of all! The London Cast Recording of Jamie Lloyd’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Blvd., recorded live at the Savoy Theatre, has a release date.  The album will be available digitally and physically on October 25, 2024.

During last night's Olivier Awards, Nicole Scherzinger took home the award for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in Sunset Boulevard.

The 2024 Olivier Awards are fast approaching on April 14. Ahead of one of the most exciting nights in theatreland, our critics – Aliya Al-Hassan, Mica Blackwell, Alexander Cohen, Katie Kirkpatrick, Kat Mokrynski, Gary Naylor, Kerrie Nicholson, Matthew Paluch and Christiana Rose share their thoughts about who and what will triumph on the night, as well as who should twin each category.

Hadestown is a show that has taken the West End by storm. Recently, we had the opportunity to talk with Melanie La Barrie, who plays Hermes. We discussed how La Barrie first got into theatre and decided to move to London, how she changed the role of Hermes by removing references to the character’s gender and why Hadestown such a special show.

As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Sunset Boulevard, starring Nicole Scherzinger, will transfer to Broadway this year. Now, the production has announced its theatre and dates! Sunset Boulevard will play Broadway’s St. James Theatre with previews beginning September 28 for a October 20 opening night.

The West End production of Hadestown  officially opened last night at the Lyric Theatre, London. Check out an all new video from opening night here!

Created with director Rachel Chavkin, it’s a story of tragic love and politics, defeat and defiance. An epic anthem for the lovers and the runaways. The actors mostly new to Hadestown, Hades’ underground factory, with only Gloria Onitiri returning as Persephone (rather than a Fate) and Beth Hinton-Lever in the ensemble.
