Milwaukee Chamber Theatre's (MCT) Virtually Re-Imagined Season continues with an all-new take on UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL by Glen Berger. The production, specifically designed for virtual distribution, premieres on April 9th at 7:30pm.

Remote Theater Project announces that its production of Grey Rock, written and directed by Palestinian artist Amir Nizar Zuabi, will travel to four U.S. cities from January 8-February 9, 2020. Commissioned by Remote Theater Project, Grey Rock marks the first time a U.S. theater company has commissioned a Palestinian artist to create an original work for American audiences.

Greenhouse Theater Center is pleased to announce the launch of Young People's Theatre of Lincoln Park (YPT), a new company offering both high-quality Theater for Young Audience (TYA) productions (professional actors performing for children and families), along with performance opportunities for children of all ages and backgrounds. Housed in the historic Greenhouse Theater Center in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood, YPT will announce its inaugural 2020-21 season in the Spring of 2020. Randy White, who most recently directed GTC's critically acclaimed production of Midsummer (A Play with Songs), will serve as the theatre's Managing and Artistic Director. As part of its mission, YPT will commission and develop new works and offer educational opportunities for young people.

For her 4th CD release, vocalist/violinist Calabria Foti wanted to do an album like her vocal heroes did back in the day; that is, with a big orchestra and legendary arrangers on the podium in an iconic Hollywood recording studio. Ucross, a prestigious artist residency program and creative laboratory for the arts, and the Alley Theatre, one of America's leading regional theatres, today announced an innovative new collaboration in support of theatre artists. Five playwrights annually will receive two-week residencies at Ucross.

La MaMa is proud to present the Remote Theater Project production of Grey Rock, written and directed by Palestinian artist Amir Nizar Zuabi. This world premiere, which runs January 3-7, 2019, was commissioned by Remote Theater Project and marks the first time a U.S. theater company has commissioned a Palestinian artist to create an original work for American audiences. Grey Rock tells the story of a young Palestinian so enamored with the 1969 American moon landing that he muses, "shouldn't Palestine, the land of prophets, also have a presence on the moon?" Without money or technology, but with the help of his bemused West Bank neighbors, he sets out to build a space shuttle. Knowing full well that he can't succeed with this impossible, but necessary, task, the young man is visited by American heroes who guide him on his mission. Humorous and fantastical, Grey Rock explores the influence that America has had over Palestinian culture.
