It was announced today that Georgia Stitt will release a new album of original music, 'A Quiet Revolution,' on Craft Recordings/Concord Theatricals, available digitally on April 10, 2020 and on CD May 1, 2020, with a pre-sale beginning today, wherever music is sold.

On March 2, 2020, TADA! Youth Theater celebrated its 35th Anniversary Gala honoring Tony award winner Jason Robert Brown and Harold Arlen Award and Sue Brewer Award winner Georgia Stitt. Held at Tribeca 360 in Manhattan, the event welcomed 180 guests and raised $160,000 for the nonprofit.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces four additional commissioned playwrights as a part of Power Plays, an ambitious initiative commissioning and developing 25 new plays and musicals from a diverse mix of writers, composers and lyricists over the course of 10 years. Playwrights Lauren Yee, Zack Zadek, Emily Feldman and Karen Zacarías join previously commissioned playwrights with projects underway, including Eduardo Machado, whose Power Play Celia and Fidel, a perceptive and authentic look at Fidel Castro's most trusted confidant and political partner, Celia Sánchez, enjoys its world premiere in Arena's Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle, February 28 through April 12, 2020.

11th Hour Theatre Company presents CHESS THE MUSICAL. Music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus of ABBA, lyrics by Tim Rice (Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Lion King, Aida), and book by Richard Nelson. The concert is directed by 11th Hour co-founder and producing Artistic Director, Michael Philip O'Brien, with music direction by Madison Auch. This riveting rock musical event will perform January 11th-19th at Christ Church Neighborhood House, and will feature seven professional actors alongside an ensemble of eight Temple University students. Georgia Stitt joined Broadway at Birdland, this past Monday night to showcase some of her favorite work and some of her favorite friends. Joined by Jessica Vosk, and two-time Tony nominee, Kate Baldwin, among others, Stitt led a wonderful show with a positive message.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present songwriter Georgia Stitt in an evening of her original songs called “The Me of the Moment: A Show About Re-invention” on November 18.  Georgia's very special guests were Kate Baldwin, Matt Bogart, Jessica Vosk, AJ Sojola, Brandon Victor Dixon, and Molly Brown.

Bright stars of Broadway perform a rockin' evening of musical theater by the women who make the music in this industry. Maestra is an organization founded by Georgia Stitt that exists to give support, visibility, and community to female composers, music directors, orchestrators, arrangers, copyists, music coordinators, and musicians who are an underrepresented minority in musical theater. It's time for them to be heard.
