ThinkTank Theatre has announced casting for 'Drunken Shakespeare', hosted by their season sponsor, Dark Door Spirits. 'Drunken Shakespeare' will consist of sketches, games, songs and sonnets from everybody's favorite Bard, accompanied of course with a bit of drinking, for those who are old enough!

Tampa Bay's freeFall Theatre Company presents their first play by Neil Simon. Simon's final play, Rose & Walsh, is a romantic comedy about two very different writers as they grapple with life, love and legacy.

ThinkTank Theatre and Dark Door Spirits will present Boozy Broadway - Summer Lovin', this weekend, June 10 and 11 at Dark Door Spirits distillery.

John Patrick Shanley’s The Dreamer Examines His Pillow, is a complex and intricate story that dives not only into the depths of our subconscious but boldly sits on the surface level of our emotions as well. Allowing us as the audience to not only deep dive within the minds of these characters, but into our own past or current circumstances. Shanley’s piece while complex is told within the length of 3 scenes ultimately ending with the audience making up their own conclusion to not only the events of the story but our own lives as we’ve grown so accustomed. John Patrick Shanley achieves masterful work here even with this being an earlier part of his repertoire. Shanley, most famously known as the Pulitzer Prize/Tony Award-winning playwright for Doubt, and the Oscar-winning Moonstruck has written 23 plays most of which he has gone on to direct, and is a Screenwriter on 9 Feature Films. Out of his 23 plays few have been performed in the Tampa Bay area, so it’s a much-needed breath of fresh air that TampaRep has decided to produce one of his earlier works, and still find relevance in the piece today. Director Chris Marshall, who has wanted to direct a Shanley play for some time says it best in his Director’s Notes, “...Our process has been about using the power of language to connect, though to do so is terrifying. It’s been equally about fierce listening and seeking to be affected as a listener, something we do less and less of these days. In these spaces (the theatre as theatre and as the room to hold scenic representations), we have finite opportunity, space, and time to connect, to learn, to discover. What a gift.”

Rehearsals have begun for the Tampa Repertory Theatre's production of The Dreamer Examines His Pillow by Tony Award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley. The play has not been staged professionally anywhere in Florida since it was created in 1986. 

ThinkTank Theatre has announced casting for Boozy Broadway, a cabaret hosted by their season sponsor, Dark Door Spirits. 'Boozy Broadway' consists of a mix of classical and contemporary toe-tapping, broadway musical numbers and jazz standards, with some fun audience participation moments that's sure to be “fun for the whole family! (and Booze if you're old enough.)”

At Stageworks at 7:30 PM, ThinkTank Theatre presents a staged reading of these powerful, poignant plays. Actors Kaylee Tupper Miller, Cranstan Cumberbatch, Shelby Ronea, Jadon Milne, Lance Felton, Marie-Claude Trembley, Noah Perez, and Haley Janeda will be joined on stage by members of ThinkTank YAE.

ThinkTank Theatre has joined forces with theaters across the nation to present #Enough. This Wednesday April 20th, theatre companies across the country will be participating in this special reading of scripts written by young people in a movement to end gun violence. The event is sponsored by Hal Freedman and Willi Rudowsky, with additional support from Stageworks Theatre and the Gobioff Foundation. 

ThinkTank Theatre opens its production of 'THE GIVER' at Stageworks on Friday, November 19th. The play was adapted by Eric Coble and based on the Newbery Award Winning novel of the same name written by Lois Lowry in 1993. 'THE GIVER' will perform in rep with TampaRep's production of 'THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME', which opens November 26th. The two shows will share a set, five actors, and one stage manager between both productions.

The season includes five exciting titles, ThinkTank's International TYA Playwrights Festival, and collaborations with The Tampa Repertory Theatre, Stageworks Theatre, The Straz Center and Dark Door Spirits.

ThinkTank Theatre has set its casting for their upcoming production of The Giver, running at Stageworks Theatre in Channelside from November 19 through December 12, 2021, with a Relaxed Performance on Nov 20 at 3:00pm.

Casting is set for the Tampa Repertory Theatre and ThinkTank Theatre production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, presented at Stageworks Theatre in the Channelside district of Tampa. The Tony Award-winning play by Simon Stephens is adapted from Mark Haddon's best-selling novel and directed by TampaRep producing artistic director Emilia Sargent.

Familiar faces, familiar characters, and a familiar red dog house with a delightful white beagle and a fleeting yellow bird make up the musical sequel to the ever so popular You’re a Good Man Charley Brown. This time the tables are turned on Charley Brown and the gang and we hear the story of Snoopy and the many comings and goings of a dog’s life centered around the kids in the neighborhood. Georgia Mallory Guy and team have assembled an All-Star cast complete with an Adult ensemble and a Young Actors Ensemble. The Adult ensemble play the parts of the characters and the young ensemble make up the chorus, but there is not a weak link in the entire company, all coming together for a swiftly paced two hour trip down memory lane. Complete with 15 toe-tapping numbers, Snoopy and his lovable gang will have you smiling from ear to ear with delight by the end of the show.

Centenary Stage Company's and Centenary University's NEXTstage Repertory presents Leslye Headland's: Bachelorette next weekend. Performances run Thursday, November 5th through Sunday, November 8th in the Little Theatre located at 400 Jefferson Street Hackettstown, NJ.
