An Egyptian Police Band arrives in Israel to play a concert. After a mix-up at the border, they are sent to a remote village in the middle of the desert. With no bus until morning and no hotel in sight, these unlikely travelers are taken in by the locals. Under the spell of the desert sky, their lives become intertwined in the most unexpected ways. On Sunday, June 18th, songwriter Britt Bonney will present an evening of her music at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, performed by several Broadway veterans. Audiences will hear a special preview of Britt's newest show Montgomery, featuring Janelle McDermoth as civil rights leader Jo Ann Robinson and Brynn Williams as 15-year-old Claudette Colvin. The concert, entitled "Make a Move: The Music of Britt Bonney," will also include songs written in collaboration with Nadav Wiesel, Anna Marquardt, and David Ballard.
