Las Vegas Film Festival Announces Short Films, Labs, Programming, Shorts Jury

The 12th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival, presented by Zappos, today announces additional programming - including shorts, labs and special screenings. Additionally, the schedule of screenings and events is now available online at www.lvff.com/schedule/. The 2019 Festival will be held April 28 through May 5 around Downtown Las Vegas, as well as the Brenden Theatres and Palms Casino Resort.

Now over 20 million albums into their career, there can be no doubt as to why The B-52s remain one of rock music's most beloved and enduring bands. As The B-52s continue to celebrate their 40th Anniversary, the band announced a world-wide tour today that is expected to cover more than 10 countries and will include a headlining North American summer tour, including a stop at the Majestic Theatre (224 E. Houston St.) in San Antonio, TX on August 21, 2019 at 7PM. Special guests OMD and Berlin will open the show. Tickets go on sale this Friday, April 12 at NOON.
IFC Renews DOCUMENTARY NOW

IFC announced today that it has renewed Documentary Now!, for a 53rd season. The series is produced by Broadway Video and created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, Rhys Thomas and executive produced by Lorne Michaels. IFC has ordered 7 episodes for the upcoming season, however no air date has been announced because Fred, Bill and Seth are super busy.

Boston Calling, celebrating its 10th edition this year on Memorial Day Weekend, May 24 - 26, and headlined by Twenty One Pilots (Friday), Tame Impala (Saturday), and Travis Scott (Sunday), reveals more exciting details about the bevy of artists set to take over the festival's Arena stage. Fans will be treated to one-of-a-kind performances from Boston Ballet, one of the most iconic dance companies in the world. In addition, all-star comedians Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate, and Michael Chewill headline the Arena stage. Pennebaker's 1970 classic Original Cast Album: Company that documents inside the studio recording of the album for the Stephen Sondheim musical Company. The acclaimed music festival, taking place this Memorial Day Weekend, May 24 – 26, 2019, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, MA, will deliver more than 55 performances across its four stages. Brainiac: Transmissions After Zero, a feature-length documentary about the seminal band Brainiac, will be making its world-wide premiere at this year's SXSW Film Festival. The film was directed by Dayton native and Brooklyn based filmmaker Eric Mahoney (Madly, North Dixie Drive) and edited by musician Ian Jacobs (Monograms).
