New Dramatists, Tony Honor recipient and the nation's premier playwright development laboratory, honored three-time Tony Award winner, Nathan Lane, with its 2019 Distinguished Achievement Award at its 70th Annual Spring Luncheon Tribute on Tuesday, May 14th at the New York Marriott Marquis.

Just last night, Manhattan Theatre Club presented its annual Spring Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's event honored Serino Coyne Founder and Chairman Nancy Coyne for being a tireless advocate for the arts and featured performances by the casts of many of the most acclaimed musicals on Broadway including Ain't Too Proud, Be More Chill, Beetlejuice, The Cher Show, Choir Boy, Hadestown, King Kong, Pretty Woman, and Tootsie. 

The New York Drama Critics' Circle recently announced their 2019 winners.

Tony Award winner Blair Brown, who was announced to take over the role of Aunt Maggie Far Away in The Ferryman, has withdrawn from the production due to an injury unrelated to the show.

The Outer Critics Circle, the organization of writers covering New York theatre for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway, welcomes 'Tootsie' star Julie Halston along with 'Torch Song' sensation Michael Urie to announce the nominees for the 2018-19 season today, April 23rd. It has been announced that Fionnula Flanagan, who originated the role of "Aunt Maggie Far Away" in The Ferryman's Broadway cast, is extending her run with the show. Flanagan is currently scheduled to play two additional weeks of performances at the Jacobs Theatre.

When director Sam Mendes' beautifully realized production of Jez Butterworth's Olivier-winning drama The Ferryman opened on Broadway last October, leading man Paddy Considine and several other members of the excellent ensemble cast had been with the play since its April 2017 Royal Court premiere, with additional members having joined the company during its transfer stint at the Gielgud.

The new company of Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman is now performing in the acclaimed play at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, and celebrated last night at the Brazen Tavern. 

The Ferryman, currently playing at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 W. 45th Street) in an extended engagement through July 7, has just welcomed new cast members!

Jez Butterworth's The Ferryman - the critically-acclaimed new play recently named to an industry-leading 25 Best-Of-The-Year lists - today welcomes many new cast members, with Brian d'Arcy James leading as Quinn Carney. Check out a new promo featuring the new cast below!
