The new musical Imitation of Life has revealed new production dates and a new creative team member for its world premiere engagement at The Griffin Theater at The Shed.

Performance dates and ticket information has been announced for IMITATION OF LIFE, a new musical with a book by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, music and lyrics by  Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award winner John Legend.

IMITATION OF LIFE, a new musical by Lynn Nottage and John Legend, will premiere at The Shed in New York City. Directed by Liesl Tommy, the limited engagement is co-produced with National Black Theatre. Further casting and ticket details will be announced.

Universal Theatrical Group (UTG), Universal Pictures’ live theater division, announced development of the musical IMITATION OF LIFE, based on the novel by Fannie Hurst and the Universal Pictures films, with book by Lynn Nottage, music and lyrics by John Legend, and directed by Liesl Tommy.
