Today's subject Euan Morton has been seen in the DC area in a variety of plays and musicals. You might remember him portrayal of Anatoly in Chess at Signature Theatre or his Helen Hayes Award winning performance as Leo Frank in Parade at Ford's Theatre or Launce in The Two Gentlemen of Verona at Shakespeare Theatre Company.

On Tuesday, February 27th The Ethical Community Charter School (TECCS in Jersey City) received a very special visit from Tony nominated actor Euan Morton who plays King George lll in Hamilton on Broadway!

Paul McGill (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will choreograph The Music Man at Asolo Rep this fall.  Directed by Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), the production will star Noah Racey (Never Gonna Dance) and run November 13 through December 29, 2018.  Additional casting and creative team members will be announced at a later date.

On Monday, April 2nd at 9:30pm, Christopher Sloan & Gavin Esham want YOU to vote them to Broadway after getting to know them during Chris & Gavin's Broadway Campaign Spectacular, an evening of sketch comedy, song and unintentional nudity that tackles hot topics.

Hamilton has tweeted a tribute to Javier Mu oz, who has been involved with the show for five years and plays his final performance today. The video features clips and photos from Mu oz' time with Hamilton. Watch the video here!

Javier Munoz plays his final performance in Hamilton tonight, January 14, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Michael Luwoye who was an alternate for the role on Broadway and went on to lead the Angelica tour, will be taking over as Hamilton.

Dear Readers, it's been quite a year and, hopefully, we've come through it unscathed. God knows we've needed some shows to help us escape and others to make us think. But through it all we've had several shows that have proven to shine as some of the best of the year. Out of all the shows I was fortunate enough to see this year, I've selected a few that stood out. Here are those stand outs, a few honorable mentions and a few special mentions about which I just couldn't help myself but to mention in their own special way.

The company of the long running hit Beautiful: The Carole King Musical had a festive weekend at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre holding a Christmas Door and Dressing Room Decorating Contest put together by master costume and wardrobe head, Bobby Pearce.
