Be More Chill's Stephanie Hsu (last seen in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical) is the latest Broadway star to join the cast of the acclaimed children's storytelling podcast, Circle Round.
The Audio Publishers Association (APA), the premiere trade organization of audiobooks and spoken word entertainment, announces today the winners of last night's annual awards gala, The Audie Awards. The event was hosted by Queer Eye fashion expert, upcoming memoirist and audiobook narrator, Tan France, who lent his charming personality and delightful wit to the evening's festivities. The Audies recognizes outstanding achievement from the authors, narrators, publishers, and producers of the most talked-about audiobooks in the industry. This year's most prestigious award, Audiobook of the Year, has been named Tomi Adeyemi's Children of Blood and Bone, published by Macmillan Audio.
Paul McGill (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will choreograph The Music Man at Asolo Rep this fall. Directed by Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), the production will star Noah Racey (Never Gonna Dance) and run November 13 through December 29, 2018. On yesterday's date in 1738, a king was born! That's right, King George III, who's now best known for da-da-da-ing into the hearts of Broadway fans in Hamilton, celebrates his birthday on June 4. In honor of the king's big day, Hamilton shared a clip on Twitter of their own King George III, Euan Morton, blowing out the candles.

Javier Munoz plays his final performance in Hamilton tonight, January 14, at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Michael Luwoye who was an alternate for the role on Broadway and went on to lead the Angelica tour, will be taking over as Hamilton.
Dear Readers, it's been quite a year and, hopefully, we've come through it unscathed. God knows we've needed some shows to help us escape and others to make us think. But through it all we've had several shows that have proven to shine as some of the best of the year. Out of all the shows I was fortunate enough to see this year, I've selected a few that stood out.
