Paul McGill To Choreograph THE MUSIC MAN At Asolo Rep Paul McGill (The Legend of Georgia McBride, Hedwig and the Angry Inch) will choreograph The Music Man at Asolo Rep this fall. Directed by Jeff Calhoun (Newsies), the production will star Noah Racey (Never Gonna Dance) and run November 13 through December 29, 2018. Additional casting and creative team members will be announced at a later date

The Music Man comes on the heels of tonight's premiere of "Jessica," a new work McGill created through BDL Connect, a mentorship initiative developed by Broadway Dance Lab which matches exceptionally talented, rising choreographers with master Broadway professionals. Founded by Broadway choreographer, Josh Prince (Beautiful, Shrek), Broadway Dance Lab is a choreography incubator that gives all theater dance makers the resources they need to bring their visions to life.

"The Music Man marked my professional stage debut at the Byham Theatre in Pittsburgh, PA and I am thrilled to return to those roots as a young choreographer under the direction of fellow Pittsburgh native Jeff Calhoun," said McGill. "And I'm honored to be amongst the talented choreographers whose work has evolved thanks to Broadway Dance Lab. Setting a piece to such an iconic song by the legendary Allman Brothers has been an absolute joy."
