Manhattan Theatre Club has announced three shows that will open next season, including the Broadway premiere of Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends and Eureka Day, as well as the world premiere of Vladamir, which will open off-Broadway.

This year, the Paula Vogel Playwriting Award, Susan Stroman Directing Award and Colman Domingo Award will be given during the company's annual Emerging Artists Celebration, to be held on Friday, December 1 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the National Arts Club.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced additional casting for the special Benefit Reading of Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels, directed by Scott Ellis. Check out who will join previously announced Kelli O'Hara and Rose Byrne.

The Drama League has just announced the 2021 Nominees and Special Recognition Honorees for The 87th Annual Drama League Awards. South Coast Repertory Artistic Director David Ivers and Managing Director Paula Tomei today announced the lineup for the 2020 Pacific Playwrights Festival (PPF). The annual showcase of new works, part of the theatre's new-play development arm, The Lab@SCR, includes two world-premiere productionsa?"The Scarlet Letter by Kate Hamill and I Get Restless by Caroline V. McGrawa?"and five staged readings. PPF runs April 24-26, with morning, afternoon and evening events. Single tickets and value-priced ticket packages are now on sale at www.scr.org.

A different immigrant story unfolds in Erika Sheffer's domestic drama RUSSIAN TRANSPORT.

A powerful and suspenseful drama, Russian Transport follows an immigrant Russian family struggling to survive in Brooklyn, New York. Fishy Productions, in association with Darlinghurst Theatre Company, is thrilled to be bringing Russian Transport to the Eternity Playhouse in March for its Australian Premiere.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) is thrilled to announce the eighth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. Renowned actress, Kate Mulgrew, known for her work in ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, STAR TREK: VOYAGER, TEA AT FIVE, EQUUS and The Vineyard's SOMEWHERE FUN, hosted Vineyard Theatre's Annual Emerging Artists Luncheon on Thursday, November 9 at the National Arts Club in Manhattan. Antoinette Nwandu (PASS OVER) received Vineyard Theatre's 2017-2018 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award. Paula Vogel spoke at the event.
