Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) announced the results of its 2022 Executive Board election at its Annual Membership Meeting on Monday night, November 14. Evan Yionoulis was elected to serve a second term as Executive Board President.

The Far Country will begin performances on Thursday, November 17th, and will open Monday, December 5th, for a limited engagement through Sunday, January 1st, 2023 Off-Broadway at the Linda Gross Theater. Get a first look inside rehearsals here!

Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere production of The Far Country, an Atlantic commissioned play by Guggenheim fellow Lloyd Suh, directed by Obie Award winner Eric Ting.

California Shakespeare Theater’s Board of Directors announced that Managing Director Sarah Williams will depart the Bay Area non-profit theater organization following three years at the helm. Veteran arts leader, actor, and advocate Clive Worsley has been named to the newly created position of Executive Director.

Now in its third season, Cal Performances at UC Berkeley's “Illuminations” series presents “Human and Machine”: six mainstage performances addressing the complex and changing relationship between technology and creative expression. Play On Shakespeare, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to exploring the world of Shakespeare in performance through translation and adaptation, today announces their spring/summer 2022 season. Lue Douthit, President and Co-Founder says: 'Well, the theater world is definitely opening up. We literally mean 'world' (Prague, Guam, England) and suddenly there are ten professional productions of Play On translations opening in the next few months, including two in San Francisco (African-American Shakespeare Company and Cal Shakes). The Children's Theatre Company and Alliance Theatre's World Premiere Co-Production of Lloyd Suh's BINA'S SIX APPLES directed by Eric Ting runs on The Coca-Cola Stage through March 27th, 2022.

The Alliance Theatre will present the inspiring and timely world premiere play, BINA'S SIX APPLES, on The Coca-Cola Stage from March 11–27, 2022.  This co-production with Children's Theatre Company concluded its run in Minnesota earlier this month to much critical acclaim.
