North Coast Repertory Theatre presents the latest episode of Theatre Conversations featuring award-winning actor James Sutorius who was last seen at North Coast Rep in The Sunshine Boys. James also won the Craig Noel San Diego Critics Circle Award for his performance in the title role of last season's The Father.

North Coast Rep's west coast premiere of playwright Eric Pfeffinger's HUMAN ERROR will go on as originally planned, only in these times of social distancing, being presented online from June 15 through June 29, 2020. HUMAN ERROR's a comedy of a medical mix-up that brings two couples of opposing life views together. Cast includes: Allison Spratt Pearce, Terrell Donnell Sledge, Max Macke, Jacque Wilke, and Martin Kildare. I had the socially distancing opportunity to pose a few questions to HUMAN ERROR's director Jane Page.

Red Bull Theater today announced the cast for their ninth annual festival of 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes, featuring two brand new commissions from Kia Corthron and Marcus Gardley, alongside six brand new plays that have been chosen from hundreds of submissions from playwrights across the country: Kate Abbruzzese, Terry Glaser, Eric Pfeffinger, Bridgette Dutta Portman, David Lerner Schwartz, Sofya Levitsky Weitz, and Matthew Wells.

The CINCINNATI ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns to for its fifth year, in partnership with Know Theatre of Cincinnati. The 5th Annual Cincinnati #1MPF runs three performances only; August 4th, 5th, and 6th at 8pm.  International City Theatre presents a zany comic romp about writers, how they write, the stories they tell and the secrets they keep. Jane Page directs the world premiere of Bestseller by internationally renowned playwright Peter Quilter (End of the Rainbow, Glorious!) for a three-week run, June 14through June 30, atInternational City Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. Two low-priced previews are set for June 12 and June 13.

Cleveland Play House (CPH), announces the World Premiere of Tiny Houses, a new comedy by Chelsea Marcantel, to be performed March 23rd-April 14th  in the Outcalt Theatre at Playhouse Square.  The production is directed by CPH Artistic Director Laura Kepley and is a co-production with Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park,

Geva Theatre Center's 2018-2019 Fielding Studio Series continues with the world premiere of The Magician's Daughter, written by Lila Rose Kaplan and directed by Shelley Butler. This production marks the second world premiere of the season, following hot on the heels of the world premiere of Brent Askari's Hard Cell - also premiering in January. The Magician's Daughter begins performances on January 24 and runs in the Fielding Stage through February 10.

Theatre Philadelphia announced today that PlayPenn Artistic Director Paul Meshejian will be honored with Theatre Philadelphia's 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be bestowed to Mr. Meshejian at the Barrymore Awards Ceremony, scheduled for November 2018.
