The Met has announced a specially-curated, three-week schedule for its Nightly Met Opera Streams, a free series of encore Live in HD presentations and classic telecasts streamed on the company website during the coronavirus closure. The schedule includes an All-Verdi week, a 20th-Century Classics week, and an All-French week.

On June 30 Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts welcomed the Wolf Trap Opera Summer 2020 residency program cohort consisting of 18 Filene Artists, 17 Studio Artists and five Fellows. Boosey & Hawkes and The Finzi Trust have announced SingFinzi2021, a new international online singing competition to celebrate composer Gerald Finzi's 120th birthday in 2021. Final entries will be judged by an international jury of musicians and administrators closely associated with the promotion of vocal performance.
