Irish Arts Center (IAC), the arts and cultural center dedicated to projecting a dynamic image of Ireland and Irish America for the 21st century, has announced its fall 2017 season. The lineup epitomizes IAC's commitment to building community with a diversity of arts institutions, artists and audiences - in New York, across America, and abroad.

A testament to the transcendent power of love and music takes center stage as South Coast Repertory opens its 2017-18 season with the multi-award-winning Once. The musical-book by Enda Walsh; music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova-is based on John Carney's Academy Award-winning indie film of the same name. Premiered at the 1997 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the play depicts the peculiar universe created by Pig and Runt in Cork City. Born at the same time on the same day at the same hospital, the deep friendship that unites the two takes a turn on their 17th birthday.

From the moment Guy and Girl meet, the audience is enraptured by their chemistry and wait at the edge of their seats, gasping for air, watching how the next scene will either result in a stepping stone or a set back for their relationship.

The Grand Theatre is thrilled to announce an extraordinary line-up of local and national, returning and debuting artists in the 2017/18 Season. The world premiere of the play was at the Galway International Arts Festival in 2016 in a production by the festival and Landmark Productions, directed by the playwright. It received its U.S. premiere at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn in May 2017.
