Innsbrook After Hours announced that Chase Rice will perform at the SERVPRO of Richmond Pavilion on Saturday, August 15th and Steve Earle and Los Lobos will perform on Friday, September 4th. Queens-based indie folk rock singer-songwriter Thin Lear reveals the title-track to his new full-length album Wooden Cave today. The intricately placed vocals flow alongside strings and piano to narrate the story of a loner; a story more prominent than ever in modern society. The track follows Thin Lear's latest single 'Maniacs' that American Songwriter described as 'immensely satisfying,' both tracks to appear on the new album, which will be released on April 24th by EggHunt Records.

Currently on a West Coast tour, acclaimed Nashville-based singer/songwriter Michaela Anne today announces that she will hit the road with singer, songwriter and musician JD McPherson. Beginning April 23, Anne will bring her “captivating vocals” (Billboard) and “splendid album” (American Songwriter), Desert Dove, to life with performances in Louisville, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Toronto and New York City. The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin performances for the world premiere of the new play COAL COUNTRY, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen with original music by Steve Earle, on Tuesday, February 18 with a Joseph Papp Free Preview performance in the Anspacher Theater. Directed by Jessica Blank, this riveting new work will run through Sunday, March 29, with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 3.

The Guild of Music Supervisors held its landmark 10th annual award ceremony this evening at The Wiltern in Los Angeles celebrating outstanding achievement in the craft of Music Supervision in movies, television, games, advertising, and trailers. Over 1,000 attendees joined the Guild to honor the 31 crafts makers, who were recognized for their stellar musical accomplishments in 2019. Industry music legends Burt Bacharach and Bob Hunka crowned the evening as Bacharach received this year's Icon Award, and Hunka received the prestigious Legacy Award. The complete winners list for the 10thAnnual Guild of Music Supervisors Awards is listed below. 

Queens-based indie artist Thin Lear shares the new track 'Maniacs' today, with news of his first full-length album Wooden Cave, to be released via EggHunt Records on April 24th. 'Maniacs' comes as a cross between Hot Chip and Sufjan Stevens, with the cinematic cleverness of DeVotchKa, in a narrative that explores human interaction and internet habits. The song rises and falls in a roller coaster of emotions, indicative of what's to come on Wooden Cave.

Blues-folk singer-songwriter Chris Smither returns to Club Helsinki Hudson on Friday, May 8, at 9pm, to perform his impassioned blend of original and classic blues-influenced American roots music.

The Sundance ASCAP Music Café headed into its first full week of the Sundance Film Festival with a wide array of performers representing many different musical flavors. Nashville writers included Joe Robinson, originally from Australia who is a guitar wizard and accomplished sideman for such artists as Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell and many more. Colter Wall, originally from Canada served up some authentic country and western songs made resonant by his deep baritone voice. And Barry Zito, a former major league baseball player who has found a new career as a singer-songwriter in Music City, played songs that have been placed with other artists and which have been featured in film and television.

Alice Wallace has joined forces with Need to Know Records to release a stunning new version of the Linda Ronstadt classic 'Long, Long Time.' The single will be released on both 7” vinyl and digital on February 14, 2020. Alice, who calls Linda Ronstadt her biggest influence, first performed the song to critical acclaim at the one-night-stand of the iconic Palomino Club in Los Angeles in October of 2018.

The Country Music Association will honor Conway Entertainment Group/Ontourage Management founder/owner Tony Conway with its 2019 CMA Touring Lifetime Achievement Award. Conway received the news during last week's CMA Board of Directors meeting in Nashville, where he received a standing ovation from Board members and CMA staff.
