Amalgamate Dance Company (ADC) is not your typical dance company. Moving beyond concert dance as a beautiful art form to watch to dance for a purpose, ADC presents 'Giving Back and Moving Forward' as an artistic platform for communities to actively engage in charity work. For their annual Spring Gala, ADC has chosen to raise aphasia awareness in conjunction with The National Aphasia Association (NAA). ADC will offer two exciting programs including the premiere of a new dance work inspired by Aphasia research and a documentary of the making of the dance work.

aturday, October 20, 2012, Amalgamate Dance Company will present its 7th bi-annual Artist Series, AAS7. Featuring the work of eighteen dynamic choreographers, this is a performance series you won't want to miss. The two performances beginning at 7pm and 9pm will take place at Bridge for Dance, 2726 Broadway, 3rd Floor, NYC.

JCE features works from emerging choreographers like Ellenore Scott, who is making waves at a young age after being a finalist on 'So You Think You Can Dance?,' to experienced veterans of the jazz world like Sue Samuels, who has established herself as one of the staples of today's performing arts community.

So You Think You Can Dance is down to the 8 finalists, determined this week after Noelle Marsh and Nathan Trasoras were eliminated on Tuesday night. This week's results show also featured performances by Snoop Dogg with Quest Crew, who debuted his new single, 'I Wanna Rock,' as well as by LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers).
