Full Cast Revealed For the UK Première of SAPPHO at Southwark Playhouse Elephant

Casting has been announced for the UK and English language première of Wendy Beckett's Sappho. Sappho premières at Southwark Playhouse Elephant on 8 May, with previews from 3 May, and runs until 25 May.

Telling the little-known true story of the Sterling Ladies, this world premiere from one of the most widely performed playwrights in the UK celebrates the Lionesses and the pioneering women who paved the way as they played their hearts out a century before. Known as the Dagenham Invincibles and the greatest women's football team of World War One, the Sterling Ladies never lose a game over two seasons and are declared 'The Unbeaten Women Champions of the Country'.

First seen at the Bristol Old Vic in 2018, Sally Cookson’s heart-breaking stage production tries to make sense of illness and grief and how lying to children about death can be more damaging than telling the truth.

Jonathan Church Theatre Productions and Global Creatures are delighted to announce the cast for A MONSTER CALLS.  The production will play Rose Theatre from 24 March to 9 April 2022.  It will then play Bristol Old Vic from 13 to 23 April, followed by the Kennedy Center, Washington from 25 May to 12 June 2022.

The third and final production of the Newbury’s The Watermill Theatre 2021 outdoor summer season, a semi-staged concert of Stiles & Drewe’s family musical JUST SO, inspired by the stories of Rudyard Kipling, opened on the main lawn Friday 30 July, and will play until Saturday 4 September.
