Today the Council of RADA announces that Marcus Ryder will become the new Chair of RADA Council.

Grosvenor Park Open Air Theatre is set to stage its most eco-friendly season of shows yet.  A meadow of native grasses will be planted in a ring around the theatre’s central performance area to create a living, moving set within which to stage this year’s three productions.

Epic Theatre Company has announced that the third episode of 'The Drag' will feature Sara Holdren.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) recently announced a five-year artistic exchange program, bringing RADA graduates and student productions to the annual Utah Shakespeare Festival, as well as training workshops for students, faculty and staff in both Utah and London. The five-year collaboration began Jan. 1, 2020 and will continue through Dec. 31, 2024, based on financial support from an anonymous donor.

Described by the Los Angeles Times as a a?oecultural phenomenon,a?? Dear Evan Hansen comes to Portland's Keller Auditorium from January 28 through February 8. Casting includes Stephen Christopher Anthony in the title role. Jessica Sherman plays 'Heidi Hansen', Claire Rankin plays 'Cynthia Murphy', and John Hemphill plays 'Larry Murphy.' Noah Kieserman and Stephanie La Rochelle round out the Murphy family (as Connor and Zoe, respectively), with Alessandro Costantini as 'Jared Kleinman' and Ciara Alyse Harris as 'Alana Beck' completing the on-stage company.

Stephen Sondheim has been presented with an Honorary Fellowship by the Director of RADA, Edward Kemp, at a special event in New York. In his citation Mr Kemp said, a?oeIn our training at RADA he is often compared both to Mozart and to Shakespeare, and in many ways his songs are as much the cornerstone of our singing training as Shakespeare's poems and plays are the foundation of our text work.a??

Runyonland Productions will present A Night of Myths and Hymns, a reimagining of the song cycle by Broadway composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza, Floyd Collins) in the newly renovated apse of the University of Michigan Museum of Art. This intersectional work has two performances on April 7th, 6:00pm and 8:00pm. A Night of Myths and Hymns is in collaboration with the Museum of Art's SMTD@UMMA series.
