Award-winning comedian, actor and writer Jack Whitehall has added an additional date in Nottingham at the Motorpoint Arena on 5th January 2020 to his forthcoming UK and Ireland tour, Stood Up.

Paramount Network today launched its first original digital series, On Location, hosted by Josh Horowitz. Each episode includes Horowitz interviewing a filmmaker or actor of note - including Michael Mann, Zooey Deschanel, M. Night Shyamalan, Kevin Smith, Lance Reddick and Robert Patrick - at a memorable filming location from their iconic movies. The first episode is now available on Paramount Network's YouTube Channel with Lance Reddick walking the streets of Manhattan where he filmed his memorable scenes in the John Wick movies. Today, E! announced the commencement of voting for the 2019 “E! People's Choice Awards,” celebrating all forms of entertainment, chosen entirely by the people.  Starting with the fan nomination week back in August, E! engaged fans worldwide to submit their favorites in the various categories. Now it's time for them to select their choice from the eight nominees to determine the winner in each category representing movies, television, music and pop culture.

Deadline reports that the Dwayne Johnson-led sports comedy 'Ballers' will have air its fifth and final season on HBO starting this Sunday.

Sky today announced plans to launch two new channel brands within its entertainment portfolio.  Sky Crime will launch in October 2019 and Sky Comedy in February 2020, with both available to all Sky customers at no extra charge, through linear and on demand. Both channels will also launch on NOW TV, available as part of the NOW TV Entertainment pass.

Deadline reports that Damon Herriman has joined Barry Jenkins' (Moonlight) adaptation of Colson Whitehead's novel 'Underground Railroad.' The story centers on young Cora, a slave on a cotton plantation in Georgia. Life is hell for all the slaves, but especially bad for Cora; an outcast even among her fellow Africans, she is coming into womanhood—where even greater pain awaits. When Caesar, a recent arrival from Virginia, tells her about the Underground Railroad, they decide to take a terrifying risk and escape.

According to Variety, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia will executive produce a new comedy series that will premiere on Quibi, a brand-new, mobile-only video platform launching this April. 

Top producer and executive Toby Gorman has been named President of Universal Television Alternative Studio. Gorman, who fills the role after Meredith Ahr was promoted last fall to President of NBC Entertainment's Alternative and Reality Group, will report into Ahr. As President of UTAS, Gorman will oversee key operations of the burgeoning studio, including development, domestic sales strategy and creative affairs across a diverse slate of unscripted programming. In addition, he will collaborate closely across all areas of production, casting, business affairs and international commercial development for the studio.
