Massey Hall Announces November 2021 Reopening

In celebration of its 127th birthday, Massey Hall has announced that after a three-year closure for an extensive revitalization, it will reopen its iconic red doors and welcome back music fans in November 2021.

Wild Rivers Share New Track 'Thinking 'Bout Love'

Wild Rivers have shared a brand new song called “Thinking 'Bout Love,” available everywhere now. The song follows the news of their U.S. Spring 2020 tour, which starts April 29th in Boston, MA and wraps May 21st in San Diego, CA. The folk-pop foursome will be donating $1 of every ticket sold to Voices of Our City Choir, the San Diego-based non-profit organization created in response to the current housing crisis. Lindsay Foote Shares New Single 'Ready'

Boston Indie-folk artist Lindsay Foote has premiered her latest single, “Ready,” via American Songwriter. The second track from her upcoming Rollercoaster EP – out January 31st – is a slow-burning folk ballad that builds around Foote's serene vocals with soaring harmonies, bright instrumentation, and gentle percussion. Recorded in Toronto prior to her move to Boston last year, Rollercoaster finds her exploring a hook-friendly pop sound, adding shimmering layers of electric guitar to complement her rich acoustic-folk arrangements.

Alan Doyle Announces New Solo Album and U.S. Tour in 2020

Alan Doyle – one of Canada's most treasured musicians – will embark on a U.S. tour in 2020, beginning April 28th with two nights at The Triple Door in Seattle. It will closely follow his 34-date cross-Canada run that begins on February 19 in Moose Jaw. Doyle will be touring with his powerhouse 6-piece band and special guest Chris Trapper.

Line-Up Announced for 6th Annual Dream Serenade

Toronto's annual Dream Serenade benefit concert is back for its sixth year supporting and celebrating the Toronto community of children with developmental and or physical disabilities and their caregivers. This year, on Saturday, November 2 at 8pm, the concert will feature sets from Matt Berninger (lead singer of The National), July Talk, Barenaked Ladies, Hayden, Shad, U.S. Girls, Donovan Woods and very special surprise guests. Once again Dream Serenade will take place at Roy Thomson Hall, sister venue to its regular home at Massey Hall while it undergoes an historic revitalization.

Ruston Kelly to Release New Project on Oct. 11

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Ruston Kelly will release his new project, Dirt Emo Vol. 1, October 11 via Rounder Records (pre-order here). The 8-track release consists of Kelly's favorite emo songs including a rendition of Dashboard Confessional's “Screaming Infidelities,” featuring the band's lead singer Chris Carrabba, which is premiering today.

Shawn Mendes Wins Album of the Year at the 2019 JUNO AWARDS

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) andCBC took over Budweiser Gardens this evening for Canada's biggest awards night in music. The awards, hosted by Sarah McLachlan, were broadcast live on CBC, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, the free CBC Gem streaming service, and globally at cbcmusic.ca/junos. The highly anticipated event opened with London's own Loud Luxury who took the stage with an electrifying performance alongside the Western University Marching Band for their London homecoming.
