Goodspeed Musicals' newly appointed leaders, Donna Lynn Hilton and David B. Byrd, are looking forward to the future, and remaining optimistic amidst the pandemic.

Beginning March 15, 2021, Goodspeed On Demand will offer musical theatre fans worldwide a variety of streaming content that ranges from never-before-seen archive recordings of past Goodspeed productions to filmed theatrical performances by musical theatre legends to unique concerts from some of the best and brightest performers on the stage today.

Apples and Orange Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to 'taking the starving out of artist,' is currently accepting submissions for THEatre ACCELERATOR: New Reality Edition - an immersive virtual musical theatre development program geared specifically towards developing and distributing musicals in mixed realities.

The writing teams, representing 15 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 34 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2019 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 21 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

Another video from the Stages Musical Theatre Festival was just released this week. New Musicals Inc. aired 51 hours of live streamcast footage of musical theatre readings, concerts, creative sessions, as well as interviews with writers and producers, all part of the most recent Stages Musical Theatre Festival. The Festival ran for fifteen years in Chicago before New Musicals Inc. brought it to the West Coast about a decade ago.

The 13th Annual Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals, produced by Goodspeed Musicals' Max Showalter Center for Education in Musical Theatre, kicks off its much-anticipated three-day festival of brand-new works today, January 12, 2018 at The Goodspeed with a staged reading of the rousing new musical Five Points by Ethan D. Pakchar (Music) and Douglas Lyons (Music and Lyrics), and McKnight Fellowship winner Harrison David Rivers (Book).
