The Hollywood Museum in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell will present REAL TO REEL LIVE (VIRTUAL EDITION 2020). Michael Feinstein will be receiving the Inspiration Award, and Kristin Chenoweth will be appearing as a special guest.
This past weekend, The Hollywood Museum held its first Lobby tribute of 2020, reuniting three remarkable leading ladies, Joan Van Ark, Michele Lee and Donna Mills, for the 40th anniversary of 'Knots Landing,' unveiling costumes worn by the three Knots' stars on the series, on loan from Warner Brothers and personal collections.
Among the individuals from the three films in attendance were Bob Gale (co creator/producer/writer of all 3 films), Charles Fleischer (Terry, BTTF 2 / voice of Roger Rabbit), Don Fullilove (Mayor Gordy Wilson , BTTF 1 &2), Darlene Vogel (Spike, Griffs Gang BTTF 2), Richie Gaona (Stuntman/Back to the Future II) and Ricky Dean Logan (Data BTTF2, & needles gang BTTF 3).
As Walt Disney Animation Studios' “Frozen 2” approaches its opening this Friday, Nov. 22, Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel—the actresses who help bring Anna and Elsa to life in the movie—were honored today with stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their stars—the 2681st and 2682nd, in the category of motion pictures and live theatre/performance, respectively—are located in front of Hollywood's historic Pantages Theatre at 6225 Hollywood Boulevard near the famous corner of Hollywood and Vine.

On Sunday, August 11th, Hollywood insider, Donelle Dadigan, and respected actress, Lee Purcell, hosted and invitation only screening of the documentary - THE MAX FACTOR. The film takes a look behind the scenes into the star studded and astounding life of the inventor, pioneer and Hollywood' legendary King of Make-up. The screening was followed by Q&A with the hosts and Filmmakers Clara and Julia Kuperberg and was moderated by film historian and critic, Leonard Maltin, who remarked 'The Max Factor Building is a true Hollywood treasure. I'm always happy to spend time there celebrating its history.'
The José Iturbi Foundation proudly sponsored 'A Decade of Dudamel' with the LA Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. To celebrate his ten years in L.A., Gustavo Dudamel conducted a special anniversary concert complete with fireworks and featured members of YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles) and Russian piano virtuoso, Khatia Buniatishvili. The evening's performance includes music from well-known films of Hollywood's golden age.

Lily Tomlin, upon accepting her award, remarked 'My partner Jane and I are honored and want to thank you for this award. It is amazing to see this whole outpouring for the LGBT community. Jane, couldnt be here tonight, but asked that I share her remarks 'We love the thought of being called Trail-Blazers. It makes us feel current and something out of Marvel Comics.' Neither of us has a good sense of direction, so we thought being called trail-blazers implies that we somehow new where we were going. So thank you for thinking of us as trail-blazers, rather than as museum pieces. Of course, there were times, Im afraid, we got lost on that trail and were more bewildered than blazing. We are still blazing, but we have had to cool down a bit. After all, we need to take care not to add to global warming.'

On Thursday, May 2nd, Richard Pryor Jr. offered fans, friends and some of his farther's co-stars a glimpse into the life of his iconic parent, Richard Pryor Senior, discussing his own self-proclaimed 'Freakish Life' that paralleled his namesake and famous father's life in many ways, found in his new memoir. In A Pryor Life, already in its second printing only days after its release. The event began with the unveiling of a costume worn by Richard Pryor Jr in the film "College Debt" co-starring Lucille Ball's granddaughter, Katherine Luckinbill, Janet Carroll and Academy Award winner, Celeste Holmes, in what would be her last film. The costume will be included in the museum's upcoming Real to Reel: Perceptions and Portrayals of LGBTQ History in Film and Television.
Donelle Dadigan, a native Californian, has just been appointed Vice Chair of the California Film Commission and has has voted into her second term as Chairperson for The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce/Walk of Fame. She is one of the most influential women in Hollywood, she already boasts an impressive resume of titles including, Chairperson for The Hollywood Trust, as well as President and Co-Founder of the Jose' Iturbi Foundation and the Founder and President of The Hollywood Museum.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that a star will be given to America's all-time, top selling rock 'n' roll band, Aerosmith when they are honored with the 2,657th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, February 14, at 11:30 a.m. PST. The star will be dedicated in the category of Recording at 6752 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Musician's Institute.
