The Middletown Arts Center, in collaboration with the Dunbar Repertory Company, celebrates Black History Month with the World Premiere production of The Chef. 

Pi Theatre, as part of its Provocateurs Series, will present Black Space Jam – an evening of multidisciplinary art – on Friday, March 3 at the Biltmore Cabaret.

On Friday, February 24, 2023, Houston Grand Opera (HGO) will stage the fourth annual Giving Voice concert in partnership with Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, the Houston Ebony Opera Guild, Prairie View A&M University, and Texas Southern University. The fourth annual concert will be presented outside the Wortham Theater Center for the first time, at the new Cathedral of the historic Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in the Third Ward, in celebration of Black History Month.

Heavy music innovators Liturgy and BIG|BRAVE have announced a tour together throughout North America early this summer. Liturgy will be releasing their new album 93696 on March 24th, and ahead of the tour the band will be performing at Big Ears Festival this March. BIG|BRAVE will be releasing their new album nature morte on February 24th.

'zip.' shows off his ability to work in many different sonic spaces, this single working as a dynamic foil.

The Jerome Foundation has announced the 2023 grant recipients in the third round of the Jerome Hill Artist Fellowships program. 54 Fellowships are being awarded (8 in each in the fields of dance; film, video and digital production; literature; music; theater, performance and spoken word; and visual arts, and 3 in each of the newly added fields of technology centered arts and combined artistic fields) to early-career artists based in Minnesota and New York City.

Beyoncé has announced her 'Renaissance World Tour' dates. The tour will go international, stopping in London, Paris, Germany, and Poland, before coming to North America. North American stops include Philadelphia, Louisville, East Rutherford, Minneapolis, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and more. The tour concludes on September 27 in New Orleans.

Someone Close To You concerns Helen – a fiercely independent spirit – reaching the end of her life; and her son, Ben – who sees risk everywhere.  Ben must confront his aging mother about bringing her home, essentially, to die. Ironically, it is he who learns more about life than he bargained for. 

Scottsdale Arts has announced that it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) to receive a Grants for Arts Projects award of $45,000. This grant will support Canal Convergence | Water + Art + Light. This grant is one of 1,251 Grants for Arts Projects awards totaling nearly $28.8 million that were announced by the NEA as part of its first round of fiscal year 2023 grants.

Road Less Traveled Productions welcomes its inaugural group of mentees into its 2023 Bridge Program.
