A slate of starry special guests has been added to Tony Award winner BD Wong and videographer Richert Schnorr's imaginative, video-driven interpretation of the theatrical song cycle Songs from an Unmade Bed. The collection of immersive music videos will stream at 8 pm Eastern on Monday, August 10, 2020, as a benefit for BC/EFA.
New York Theatre Barn Honors Sheilah Rae With A Lifetime Achievement Award

New York Theatre Barn announced it is honoring its co-founder, Sheilah Rae, with the company's first Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes her exceptional contributions to musical theatre as a writer, composer, lyricist and performer for over 50-years, and her co-founding and outstanding service and vision for New York Theatre Barn (NYTB) for more than a decade. Joe Barros, artistic director of NYTB, and Rob Wyse, board president of NYTB, made the announcement at the February 4th New Works Series. Each noted her deep understanding of the journey from page to stage.

The fifth season of New York Theatre Barn's Choreography Lab concludes on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 at 2pm at The Cell. Funded in part by a generous gift from the Amber Foundation, The Choreography Lab was created to elevate and expand the use of dance in musical theatre. It is also the only curated choreography platform where choreographers and writers collaborate to develop movement for new musicals during incubation. Director/Choreographer Shea Sullivan (R.R.R.E.D., Pageant!) will serve as the lab's guest moderator.

NJ Rep presents a celebration of the works of Edna Ferber including salon readings of 5 brand new one-act plays adapted from Ferber's short stories, a lecture on the story behind Show Boat told by Ferber's great niece and biographer, Julie Gilbert, and a concert reading of Selina Peake written by the Pulitzer prize winning playwright, Horton Foote, based on the Pulitzer prize winning novel, So Big. All presentations will be at West End Arts Center, 132 West End Avenue in Long Branch.
