Billy Martin to Perform Solo Show at The Black Box

On Friday, September 9th, 2022 at 7:30PM, Medeski Martin & Wood's Billy Martin -- a long-time Bergen County resident -- will perform a solo set utilizing percussion instruments, found objects, voice, flutes, bird calls, and more at The Black Box Performing Arts Center.

From the Old Vic’s now iconic and classy version to Sh!tfaced Shakespeare’s bawdy and boozy one at Leicester Square Theatre, there’s a Carol for everyone. The Park is joining in the fun this year with another take on the Dickensian Victorian tale of greed and ghosts. Surprisingly, it’s unmistakably political. Alexander Knott’s Cratchit takes the novella’s poor, exploited worker and turns him into a hero for our times in a festive tour de force spearheaded by a terrific John Dalgliesh.

Soho Theatre Presents Jasmine Lee-Jones's CURIOUS

curious is Lee-Jones' second play following her critically-acclaimed seven methods of killing kylie jenner (Royal Court), for which she won the Evening Standard Award 2019 and Critics' Circle Theatre Award for Most Promising Playwright. Set against the sprawling backdrop of urban London across centuries, curious is a frank, funny and moving excavation of the lives of two actresses who are young, Black, queer and trying to find out who they are.

Christopher Harper and Saffron Coomber to Star in DANCE at King's Head Theatre

The Charlotte Peters directed play, which follows a father and daughter’s surprising story, is set to make its ‘IRL’ appearance as part of the King’s Head Theatre’s annual festival of new-writing, Playmill, where it runs from Monday 12th to Saturday 17th July. 

Soho Theatre Announces Walthamstow Committee Co-Chairs Alongside New Head Of Creative Engagement

Soho Theatre's re-opening of the former Granada/EMD in Walthamstow takes a stride forward with the appointment of key posts: Jessica Draper in the newly created role of Head of Creative Engagement, and the new Co-Chairs of the board for the revitalised venue, Olivier Award-winning performer and Waltham Forest resident Alessandro Babalola and the Royal Court's Executive Director Lucy Davies.
