106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park continued its 2023 program yesterday, July 13, bringing the best of Broadway back together for free performances, every Thursday in July. This week's performances included Chicago, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, A Beautiful Noise - The Neil Diamond Musical, and SIX: The Musical. Check out photos here!

Casey Cott, who is best known for his role of Kevin Keller in the television series Riverdale, will stage the stage in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway!

Moulin Rouge! will open in Japan this week, beginning performances on June 24 and running through August 31 at Tokyo's Imperial Theatre. The cast of Moulin Rouge! features  Fūto Nozomi and  Ayaka Hirahara as Satine, with Yoshio Inoue and Shouma Kai as Christian.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical will welcome Courtney Reed this summer! Reed returns to Broadway in the role of Satine, having originated the role in the First National Tour. She will begin performances on Tuesday, August 1 at Broadway’s Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Last night, April 11, Moulin Rouge! The Musical welcomed platinum-selling singer, songwriter, and actress Joanna 'JoJo' Levesque making her Broadway debut in the role of 'Satine' at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there and you can check out photos of her first bows here!

It was a like coming home with Chita Rivera full circle and approaching a kind of comfortable closure when I attended the Signature Theatre’s Sondheim Award Gala 2023 honoring the Broadway legend Chita Rivera at the Italian Embassy in Washington. DC.  The iconic legend of theatrical music and dance (What a dancer she is!) was feted with the prestigious award from Signature Theatre and a warm response from a very “Chita-friendly” roster of performers and an audience of patrons, fans and supporters. (Rivera has also won about every award in the book including two Tony Awards, a special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Kennedy Center Honor).
