There will be beautiful go-go dancers setting the room on fire, TEXAS-STYLE. Turn your Tinder off because you'll find your Invitation to Love at The Pink Room Burlesque! Pink Room VIP's will have a chance to step through the red curtain and see Mr. Reindeer's Lounge.  KCRW announces today that Jason Bentley will complete his ten-year term as KCRW's Music Director and host of Morning Becomes Eclectic. Bentley's last show as host of Morning Becomes Eclectic will be August 30, 2019. KCRW will be conducting a nationwide search to find Bentley's replacement. Bentley will continue to host his popular Saturday-night global electronic mix show, Metropolis.

Sharjah Art Foundation Appoints Omar Kholeif Director Of Collections And Senior Curator

Hoor Al Qasimi, President and Director of Sharjah Art Foundation, today announced the appointment of Dr Omar Kholeif to the newly created position of Director of Collections and Senior Curator, where he will lead the foundation's acquisition strategy and develop a year-round programme of exhibitions, as well as shape international partnerships, organise symposia and develop publications. Kholeif will also work in collaboration with Al Qasimi and the Sharjah Art Foundation team in developing plans for Jurainah Art Space a new, 13,000 square-meter building that will house the foundation's growing collection of more than 1,000 works of contemporary and 20th-century art rooted in the region and radiating internationally. Kholief begins his new role in June 2019.

American Film Institute and Russo Brothers' AGBO Films Partner For Inaugural Development Grant

The American Film Institute (AFI), in partnership with AGBO Films, has announced Angela Chen (AFI Class of 2018) as the recipient of the inaugural AGBO/AFI Conservatory Development Grant. This new program awards $25,000 to a recent AFI Conservatory graduate to develop at least one project, with year-long mentorship from AGBO. Chen will receive the grant for her project TRIAD OF US, which tells the story of a broken Chinese immigrant family and their first-generation children in America. Told from multiple perspectives and based on true events, the story finds the young daughter unveiling dark family secrets as an assassination is executed and a sting operation is underway.

The Futureheads Announce Their First Electric Album in a Decade

THE FUTUREHEADS are delighted to announce that Powers, their sixth studio album and their first electric guitar release in almost a decade, will be released on August 30, 2019. Recorded and self-produced at Newcastle's First Avenue Studio, Powers is a record that looks “at the balance of power in a personal, political and relational sense” and puts it to some of the most vital, invigorated material the band have made since their first steps.

Temples Announce New Album 'Hot Motion'

This marks their debut for the esteemed indie label. The Academy to Honor Geena Davis, David Lynch at the 2019 GOVERNORS AWARDS

The Academy announced today that its Board of Governors voted (Saturday, June 1) to present Honorary Awards to David Lynch, Wes Studi and Lina Wertmüller, and the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award to Geena Davis.  The four Oscar® statuettes will be presented at the Academy's 11th Annual Governors Awards on Sunday, October 27, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center®.
