The New York Pops announces the appointment of Donnovan Andrews, founder of HumanWorks, and Anthony V. Thompson, Financial Advisor and Principal at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, to its Board of Directors, in addition to its appointment of current Board member John Gardner as Treasurer of the orchestra's Board. Gardner, currently Entrepreneur in Residence at Acrew Capital, has been on the Board since 2014.

EXPO CHICAGO the international exposition of contemporary and modern art, today announced an exclusive print edition by acclaimed artist Derrick Adams in celebration of the fair's in-person return to Navy Pier, April 7-10.

Logical Content Ventures, Logical Pictures’ co-production fund, will finance the development of the films, which will focus on genres in the horror, thriller and sci-fi universe. Logical also secured a first-look agreement to finance and produce. The slate will span multiple projects, with XYZ Films set to produce and handle sales.

Salt Ashes (aka Veiga Sanchez) has revealed a startling Tarantino-esque video from her latest single “Body Says.” The video is a choreographed performance piece, taking inspiration from Quentin Tarantino’s badass female characters in the likes of Kill Bill and Death Proof. Revry, the LGBTQ+ first streaming network will offer the Hedwig and the Angry Inch film for streaming for a limited time. Currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, the film is adapted from the critically acclaimed off-Broadway rock theatre hit of the same name, Hedwig and The Angry Inch tells the story of an ‘internationally ignored’ rock singer.

BOYS NOIZE (Alex Ridha, Berlin) and KELSEY LU (Charlotte, NC) share an erotic, ethereal short film accompanied by their track “Love & Validation” (single edit) and directed by legendary filmmaker Diana Kunst, with Mau Morgó. The track is the 2nd collaboration of the pair after releasing “Ride Or Die” feat. Chilly Gonzales.

The national tour of THE BAND’S VISIT has landed in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre. The opening night audience gave the all-round talented cast a most deserved standing ovation. I had the pleasure of chatting with Joe Joseph (who’s silky vocals inhabit the character of Haled) the afternoon post-opening night.

Joe’s Pub has announced their winter programming for 2022 starting in January through February with two shows each evening. In addition, the venue will welcome its former sous chef, Ricky Mungaray back to the kitchen as Executive Chef.

Welcome to Bea's NYCC Speed Interview Series! As I attended New York Comic Con 2021 (October 7-10, 2021), I did a series of short interviews with influential creators. For issue #5, here's a speed interview with artist Tim Doyle of Nakatomi, Inc. Nakatomi, Inc, established in 2009, is a 'a full-service Silkscreen print shop, and Music/Pop art collective'. His past clients include Marvel, Dark Horse, Cartoon Network, Studio Canal, Metallica, Failure, 'Weird Al' Yankovic, Kings of Leon, and George Strait.

A dark and droll opera thriller performed by a star cast from the Royal Danish Opera Soloist Ensemble accompanied by acclaimed special guests. The music ranges from Wagner and Mozart to Cher and Queen. The amazing costumes are designed by Henrik Vibskov.

Along with CPF, SummerStage founder Joe Killian is nominated as the Executive Producer of the film with Director Jake McAfee and Producer Jonathan Olson. Killian created SummerStage 35 years ago and is a music and entertainment powerhouse, a two-time Emmy award winner (both as Executive Producer).
