Last night, Thursday 7 December 2023, Cape Town Opera announced 2024’s highly anticipated seasons and remarkable 25th anniversary milestone at a jubilant event held at D-Core Art Gallery in the city.

The sensational soprano Lynelle Kenned, with tenor Luvo Maranti and the acclaimed Stefan Lombard on piano, will present Songscapes, on 7 May 2023, at 3pm at Christ Church Constantia, as part of the Christ Church Concerts.

The award-winning dancer-choreographic duo Grant van Ster and Shaun Oelf alongside their company Figure of 8 Dance Collective is coming to the Drama Factory Theatre sold-out dance work titled, EMBODY YOU.

The stars and beautiful people came out to play at the 58th FLEUR DU CAP AWARDS last Sunday night - 26 March 2023. It was such a treat to be surrounded by so many great theatre makers and talented human beings, as well as to honour those who have done incredible things in the last year.

It was a glittering affair at the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre in Stellenbosch on Sunday, 26 March, when the winners of the 58th Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards were announced. The event was one of many celebrating World Theatre Day globally on the 27th of March.

The Waterfront Theatre School, Cape Town's most established college for the Performing Arts, will hold their annual national auditions in Bloemfontein, Durban, Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg from 9 September 2019.

A new and original physical theatre play that holds very important messages, performed in Afrikaans. The play is created and performed by two upcoming theatre makers Carlo Daniels and Abigail Mei. Onweer follows the story of a young woman Tammy Solomons. Her abusive father, Joe Solomons, is returning home after a 10 year prison sentence. For Tammy, this causes anxiety and waiting in anticipation. His return brings many questions to his family and the community. The play provokes an audience who buries the truths in silence .
