Real-Life Married Couple Paige Davis & Patrick Page Open I DO! I DO! at The Old Globe

Real-life married couple Paige Davis and Patrick Page will star in a special engagement of I Do! I Do!, the classic Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt musical based on The Fourposter by Jan de Hartog, in The Old Globe's new Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre. The well-loved classic, by the creators of The Fantasticks, spans five decades in the life of a married couple - from the nervousness of their wedding day to the wisdom of old age. I Do! I Do! will run Dec. 11 - 20, 2009. Previews take place on Dec. 11 at 8:00 p.m. and Dec. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Opening night is Saturday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale to subscribers only. Hillbarn Theatre Seeks To Raise $150k By 5/31 In Order To Keep Full 09-10 Season

Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier community theater, who, in recent years, has been redefining community theater's excellence, will be forced to greatly curtail its 2009-2010 season unless $150,000 in funding is raised by May 31, 2009 it was announced today by the Hillbarn Theatre Board of Directors.

Patty Duke to Join WICKED in San Francisco Replacing Carol Kane

The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that TV, film and Broadway star Patty Duke will be joining the company of WICKED San Francisco, replacing Carole Kane as Madame Morrible after her final show on March 22. Kane was only in San Francisco on an 8 week contract.

Harrison, Adkins & More To Appear In Berkshire 2009 Season

Berkshire Theatre Festival's 2009 casting consists of some old favorites and some new faces. Randy Harrison will return to star in 'Ghosts', and David Adkins, Colin Lane and Keira Naughton will appear in 'Faith Healer'. 'The Einstein Project' cast will consist of Tommy Schrider and James Barry, while 'Sick' will feature Greg Keller. Stephen DeRosa, David Garrison and more will also make an appearance this season.

The Schmidt & Jones Musical I DO! I DO! Opens 1/30

4th Wall Theatre, a non union professional theatre in Bloomfield, NJ is presenting Schmidt & Jones musical, I Do! I Do! as a Valentine for lovers of all ages. Starring in the 4th Wall production is the incredible team of Julie Waldman-Stiel and Will Lampe. Waldman-Stiel has toured the country with Topol in Fiddler on the Roof, the national tour of Cats, and was seen opposite Tony Award winner Michael Crawford in The Music of Andrew Lloyd Weber. Lampe has done NY and regional theatre and toured in the 1st National Company of Urban Cowboy: The Musical. The musical is a photo album of memories that follow the lives of two people through fifty years of a marriage: from the wedding night, to having children and all the trials, tribulations, laughter and tears that a couple endures. The musical originally paired Mary Martin and Robert Preston in 1966 on Broadway and was revived in 1996 with Karen Ziemba and David Garrison. The show will be directed by 4th Wall Artistic Director, Gregory G. Allen, music directed by Deborah Martin and choreographed by Randy Accardi. The musical will run two weekends from January 30 - February 8 at the Westminster Arts Center in Bloomfield. NJ. More info at www.4thwalltheatre.org. In addition, Lila Coogan has been cast in the role of 'Pamela.' Coogan is currently appearing as 'Jane Banks' in the Broadway production of Mary Poppins. The all-star cast also includes Lynn Ahrens, Christian Borle, Carolee Carmello, Sandy Duncan, Gregg Edelman, Christine Ebersole, Stephen Flaherty, Kathie Lee Gifford, Adam Heller, Richard Kind, Robert Klein, Tommy Tune and many others.
